Pain and Suffering Ranking -- Mavs Fans are Only 25th

Ranking of Long-Suffering Fan Bases on ESPN.com

I guess because the Mavs' decade of misery was not too long ago, it feels as if we should be higher.  The Mavericks have a Pain & Suffering (P&S) rating of 3.23, or six Toni Braxtons (I never liked her before the supposed incident and really didn't care for her after that).  The "Toni Braxton incident" -- even if it never really occurred - will always have a place in Mavericks lore.

The Jazz, Trail Blazers, Sonics, Nets, and Pacers fan bases have supposedly suffered more than we have.

As daunting as it will be to win the Western Conference, I'm glad we don't have to face MJ and the Bulls like the Jazz and Suns had to do!

I left out the Cavaliers...
...they also lost to Jordan's Bulls, and are ranked 24th.

Since the Mavs would never see the playoffs in the 90s, I'd select teams to root for in the playoffs -- my Eastern Conference team was the Cavs with Mark Price and Brad Daugherty (sp?).  I liked the Suns (Barkley, Marjlere, and Kevin Johnson) and Blazers (Terry Porter and Clyde) back then.  Good riddance to substituting for my favorite NBA team!

I did the same thing
I always rooted for Barkley and the Suns in the West and Shaq/Penny in the East.

It was all about the players though and not the teams.

Texas Rangers at 46th?
1 playoff game win in my lifetime of twenty years shuggests they should be higher.
Oh, to be a machine.

Apparently
They didn't see me after the "Finals" last year.

I didn't get out of bed for three straight days. If I hadn't found that dried fruit under my bed, I think I might have died.

And then who would annoy all of you with conspiracy facts?

The NBA is rigged. But it's still fun to watch Dirk ball.

rangers
should be number one... just the fact that they put them at the last of this list goes to show what little attention and respect they get, unless we sign an a-fraud for a billion dollars, or a has been sosa who corks the bat, everyone looks over the rangers.
