Non-Mavs Playoffs

Ok, who else is declaring the day wasted for anything other than NBA playoffs?  What's your thoughts about what's going on?

Star-divide

So far I've seen a Wiz team that has no chance due to injuries, which is disappointing because healthy they'd give the Cavs all sorts of fits.

And I've seen Shawn Marion basically crawl into Ronny Turiaf's jersey from behind, and not get called for a foul.  Turiaf has done a good job on Amare so far though.

And Raja is a flopper.

Kobe Bryant
Is sick.

I hate him.  But damn.

I wasted the day yesterday
I was going for the Raptors, the Bulls, the Magic, and the Rockets..two out of four won, so not bad.  I skipped today's first game since I had a feeling it'd be boring/a blowout (I ended up watching "Hot Fuzz" instead) and now I'm watching Lakers/Suns.  Kobe's on fire today.

Oh, and Kwame Brown sucks
And I don't like these commentators.  I can't wait for the TNT coverage.

Hubie Brown
Needs to be given a Lear Jet during the playoffs.  He could do the first and last game both days.  I don't think anyone would object.

Yeah, I love Hubie
I hope TNT steals him away.  I hated listening to Jon Barry last night...usually he's tolerable.

Barbosa vs. Devin Harris in a race
Who would win?  Both are so friggin' fast.  Maybe Tony Parker can contend too.

They should do it
For next year's All Star festivities and the money can go to charity.

Ok
I knew that some of the GSW fans weren't the brightest bulb in the box, but some of what they're saying is absolutley insane.

Like this and this.

yeah man
and your hella cocky w/ your team look what just happened tonight son.  don't be disrespectin our fans or our team and don't get comfortable cuz we might just take the series

by Mike Dirkleavy on Apr 23, 2007 12:22 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

your versus you're
You're is a contraction.  It's used in place of the phrase "You are."

Your is possessive.  That's your coffee mug.

Please become familiar with these differences.  Chicks dig them.

And I'm not cocky- this is going to be a hell of a series, and I never expected anything else.  Of course, I'm not the one predicting a sweep of the finals, coming out of the 8 spot.

What is it with the GSW fans and calling people "son?"  Is there some weird Cali incest thing I need to know about?

God damn
I pop off, then re-read the sentence, and just look like a moron.

The lesson, as always...

Still.  Lay off the family terms till you win a playoff series.

Oh, nevermind
You managed to get it right once, but not the first time.  I was right after all.  You just got lucky once...

your hella stupid fool
stop with these damn spelling lessons man its only the internet.  im not turnin this ish in to no teacher man.  stop bein such a loser

by Mike Dirkleavy on Apr 23, 2007 12:38 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

omg
the grammer and spelling doesnt have to be perfect dood.  im not turning this in to a teacher. what don't you get about that.  we're just talking on the internet and when i totally own you and hit you up with some basketball knowledge you resort to correcting my spelling cuz you got nothing to say.  your a loser.  if you want to talk basketball then talk to me.  if you wanna correct my grammer and spelling then i aint gonna talk to you anymore your annoying

by Mike Dirkleavy on Apr 23, 2007 12:43 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Basketball knowledge?
No really, pull the other one...

What do you have to say?  I haven't really seen anything from you, other than "OMG we rRUlezorS!!!111!"

What do you want me to say?  The Mavs shot 35%.  You don't win a playoff game shooting 35% on the night if it's against the Warriors, the Detroit Shock, or Paducah Consolidated High School.

BTW
"You're hella stupid, fool."

As written, you don't have a verb.  However, "are" in the contraction form of "you are" is a be verb, and therefore passive voice.  Writing in the active voice makes your sentences more effective.  For example "I think your comment is hella stupid."  By making the verb of the sentence "think," it more accurately indicates your disagreement.

You also need a comma before fool.

wow
you really are a fag

I'll be sure
to give my wife your learned assessment.

Haha
That's a hilarious reply, brodyv.  Not to harp, since I don't want to add to this argument any more, but I don't see how people can't take the time to write with the correct spelling in blogs/message boards/e-mails, etc.  I know you're not turning it in for credit, but at least show that you learned something in high school, especially since the general public is reading your thoughts.  Or maybe I'm just a grammar/spelling geek, whatever.

At any rate, just to get back on topic here...go Magic!

I hate how...
Tonight's game is a late start, even for you guys in Central time, while this Phoenix game was at noon their time.  It's all about the network ratings, I suppose.

Camby
Looks like a matador every time Parker drives baseline.

Ole!

Dear Freaking God
Have you guys seen this?  Go.  Watch.  Now.

GO!

I haven't seen that ad in forever
They need to make commercials like that again.  I like Dirk's fantasy basketball, where the guy tells him that he needs more blocks, so he proceeds to loft easy balls at Dirk to block, and they're in an office so the ball keeps hitting cubicles/people/coffee mugs.

by Marie on Apr 22, 2007 7:14 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Oops
Fantasy basketball ad, I mean.

by Marie on Apr 22, 2007 7:15 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

too bad
dirk ain't gettin' it this year, even if he gets past the first round

by Mike Dirkleavy on Apr 26, 2007 12:19 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

the warriors were
in a very similar situation as the wizards are right now.  you see the wizards are just useless with out gilbert and caron.  well we went through long stretches without JRICH and Baron, plus we needed time to gel with our new guys from the trade so basically that is why we are a much better team then our record indicates
