What Did I Just Watch?

Diop taking 15 footers?

Harris taking 20 footers early in the shot clock?

Dirk almost airballing a wide open three?

Lazy passes?

Getting in the bonus then settling for jumpers?

Dirk missing two free throws in a row?

Arguing calls?

Penetrating just to turn it over?

Passing it off a teammates back like their playing with strangers?

Maurice Ager making better decisions than Jason Terry?

100 blocked layups?

Up is down?

Down is up?

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.

I hope they get it all out of their system
Because they can't afford another crappy game.  They've had two and that's more than enough.

Bizzaro World
Badbye, Mavericks.
The NBA is rigged. But it's still fun to watch Dirk ball.

What an embarrassing loss
The thing I hate most as a fan is when the team you're rooting for plays in a lackadaisical manner.  The Mavs played with very little heart - losing all the small battles and just were unfocused.  It's troubling that they couldn't come out with all guns blazing knowing that the GS fans would be raucous, and they had to know B. Davis was going to redeem himself for getting ejected in Game 2.

The Warriors played great and they played hard.  Even if the Mavs had played hard and lost it wouldn't have been that bad.

Game 4 is a must-win for the Mavs.

It's funny though, if this game had been a 1- or 2-point loss (a heartbreaker) I would have dwelled on it more.  Routs are sometimes easier to get over. As Marie said, hopefully they got this junk out of their system!

Well said
"The thing I hate most as a fan is when the team you're rooting for plays in a lackadaisical manner."

That's so true.  They showed no desire tonight, as if they wanted the win to come to them rather than earning it.

I can understand that they are under a lot of pressure to make it to the Finals again after getting there last year and after having an awesome regular season.  But they're playing right into the critics' hands by bowing to the same pressure that they crumbled under last year.  It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Why not use that pressure to make yourselves stronger?  Defy those naysayers, damn it.

But at the same time, the Warriors deserve credit for playing their style and sticking to it.

Maybe it's because your team is soft.

I've been really unimpressed with Dallas so far.  They look pretty good when they can play from ahead, but have not shown any fortitude when the Warriors push the action.  If Dallas somehow gets out of this series, I can't imagine they will beat Houston.  They are just way too fragile mentally and surprisingly unathletic.  Only Howard and Harris look like they can match the Warriors' athleticism.

Game 4 is everything.  I don't think the Warriors can win the series if they don't get Game 4.  On the other side, I can't envision Dallas having the mental toughness to win this series if they get served twice in Oakland.

your full of shit.
Furious? I can understand, especially if i know my team got murdered. and drunk? haha what lame excuse for your actions. You can't get drunk off of tap water. Kill me? haha you can do that your self. Your life seems worthless and your better off putting an end to it. Wait until sunday though, I want you to witness another ass kickin. Hopefully they blow em out by 50 this time. haha

I hate to break it to you...
...but your Mavs team peaked last year. Erick Dampier is a Warrior reject and owned by Adonal Foyle! Stackhouse is old!  Dirk is soft!  For all his rah! rah! fire and brimstone, Avery is a mediocre basketball intellect, over-matched by Nellie. Josh Howard and Jason Terry aren't enough to save you. You had your nice long playoff run -- too bad you couldn't seal the deal. Mark Cuban couldn't hold Steinbrenner's jock-strap. Make room for the W's!

Its a weird match-up thing
it is.  The smaller the Warriors got he better they play agaist this team

The Warriors couldn't beat the Suns or the Spurs but Dirk and your centers can't take advantage of the small line-up and you guys already have trouble with our big guards.

Half the game it seemed like Matt Barens was the biggest Warrior on the floor

I have no doubt if you guys drew the Lakers this would have been 2-1 or 3-0 Mavs

by Frisco Zig on Apr 28, 2007 11:56 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah,
Mavs would have swept the Lakers for sure. Clippers too.

Mavs controlled destiny
You could have avoided this all by beating G.S on the 2nd to last game of the season. The opponent would have been the Clippers.
Explain to me why Avery "rested" his players for that game and played them in the last game. Some rest? Well, I hope the Warriors send you packing.

As Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith say "Dallas Mavs have gone fishing"

its the warriors defense...
it frustartes them and it forces them to make mistake that the wouldnt normally make...its the warriors doing sumthing good, rather than the mavs doin bad...

haha excuses, excuses, excuses.
Why do people blame their actions on alcohol? Don't embarrass yourself anymore. Better yet, watch the game tonight, hopefully it'll start giving you ideas of blowing a hole through your brain. Warriors by 17.
