Give back the MVP trophy

First off...I love Dirk.  But what he just did to this team was unexcusable...I will be the first to give the Warriors credit...they played well and won the series.

BUT the ultimate reason we had this series stolen from us was DIRK NOWITZKI.  There were those who doubted Dirk's ability to lead this team and show everyone the way...but now the "stigma" Dirk has is 100% true...this guy is NOT a leader.  He will never be a leader...

In order for this team to win a championship we need a player like Darrell Armstrong...someone who knows how to be a leader and knows what it takes to be a winner.

I am almost sick to my stomach on seeing Dirk's performance...just pathetic. Please Dirk I beg you...give back the MVP trophy...you don't deserve it.

Congrats Warriors fans...you beat the Mavs straight up.

Stolen?
This series wasn't stolen, because it was never yours.

I'll be interested to see what Dallas does this offseason... no way in hell this team can come back as currently constituted.  Not after this embarassment.

Good luck next year.

stolen yes...
stolen in a good way retard....this series was stolen bc it was never the Warriors series to win in the first place...an underdog is never expected to win a 7 game series....good god you take things way out of context mant

Could not agree more
Dirk is the single biggest pansy ever to play basketball.

I hope he dies. Like, SOON. And painfully.

Dies?
yo dude...settle down.  Dirk played like complete shit this series...Dirk is going to have to do some major soul searching and figure out if he has the balls and drive to step up in times of adversity and be a true LEADER..
But don't give up on him or the Mavs...if you do then you don't deserve to be a Mavs fan.

As recently as Game 5!
The guy also has had success in the European Championships and last year's FIBA tournament with a much weaker supporting cast.

Not to defend Dirk
a player I've always admired but the coaching of the Mavs seemed to not put him in the spots to be successful

Granted MVPs usually do it themsleves but the guy is a 7'0 shooter.  Couldn't they can run him off some screens to try to get him going?

my god, give Dirk a break
Why do you think the Warriors were double and triple teaming him almost every time he touched the ball? Because he's a damn good player! Nelson drafted the guy and coached him for eight years. He knows exactly how he plays, and knows exactly how to defend against him. It was simply Nellie and the Warriors taking him out of this series. You saw what happened when we laid off him the last three minutes of game 5! Give the guy a break, he's got more class than most players in the NBA, and still deserves the MVP.

No Kidding!
Warriors fan here. You guys are nuts. The reason he didn't play well was that we was double and triple teamed. Nobody sets this guy up -- it's all on him. Where's the point guard for Dalls? Oh yeah, there is none.

The reason he's double and triple teamed? He's a freakin' MVP-caliber player! You think they let him breathe at all? No. They treated him like the threta he is.

Double team and shadow D. Harris? Howard? Stackhouse? Never. The Dubs dared the other guys to beat them. They couldn't do it so it's Nowitzki's fault.

Warriors would take Dirk Nowitzki any day of the week. If you run that guy out of town, you'll be sorry.
