Warriors = better team

i feel for it to be a common theme that when the mavs lose, people look at how the mavs blew it instead of how the other team won it. The Mavs getting their asses handed to them is also a common theme.

Last year in the finals, a team with dwayne wade and shaq simply outplayed yall. D wade being the superstar that he is really just dominated and you guys had no answer for that. Dirks comments after that series were pathetic and disrespectful to the heat. The complaining about the referees was lame.

This series, people talk about how the Dirk choked and blah blah blah. the main thing is we played basketball vs. you guys and we beat you. we are the better team

Did the Golden State Warriors win 67 games this season?

You may have played the better basketball the first round of this years playoffs, but in all honesty I do not think that the GS Warriors are better than the Mavs.

What's going to happen when you play a team that didn't used to coach us?

The Warriors and Mavericks played 9 games this year, and the Warriors won 7. How many times do the Mavs need to get beaten before you concede that the Warriors are better than the Mavericks?

Dallas had a really good season, but the Warriors are a better team.

We're winning the next series, too.

Yeah, but...

The Warriors have been injured all year...they have only had this team for the past 22 games of the season, in which they went 17-5. Almost all of their wins coming in double digits, including wins over Detroit, Houstan, Utah, Phoenix and oh yeah Dallas. The Mavs had a great team, we just had the upper hand on matchups and coaching. Phoenix and Golden State might be even more entertaining than this series. By the way, if you didn't notice, your team is full of sore losers and assholes. It bet it feels nice knowing that Jason Terry has to resort to choke slamming Baron Davis, just because I imagine his team must be so scared and embarassed to lose to an 8th seed, after pulling in the 6th best record in NBA history. And I'm sure it must be comforting to watch the owner of your team say nothing but "get that fucking camera out of my face" after his team gets booted from the playoffs. Better luck next year guys.

Oh yeah...for sarcastically clapping at the refs. That was so much more unsportsmanlike than throwing a player to the floor. Plus everyone knows Stephen Jackson has anger problems, why do you think no other team wanted him? He's a damn good player, I'll take that trade off any day.

What, like you don't think that was done intentionally? Why did they T him up for it then? And even if it wasn't intentional, you could at least show some respect and help the guy up after knocking him over. Not to mention Terry's absurd comments throughout the series, "This team feeds off turnovers, it's the only way they can win." Yeah, that's exactly how we won four games, and three by double digits. Give me a break.

you'll take that now, because he is playing well now. Wait until he gets himself into serious trouble either during these playoffs or during the next regular season. You think pacer fans would take him any day? San Antonio fans? Sacramento fans with artest?? Maybe right at this very moment, because he his play has been outstanding, but just wait.
I think the guy has a ton of talent, but once playoffs are over and you watch him closer into the next regular season, you will see he is not worth the trouble. Same goes with davis. The locker room is stable now, because you are winning, but I'd be interested to see how happy go lucky everyone is when your not.

You may have your opinion and I will have mine. The guy plays with a ton of emotion and can't help that he gets that upset. As for Davis, he is the most intelligent player on that team and was simply arguing a bad call. Either way, I find it pretty funny that all I see on here now is Mavs fans digressing from the fact they lost the series, and finding basically irrelevant points to argue about with us Dub fans. But by all means keep it up, it's entertaining to say the least.

are you kidding me? where did I say or how did you interpret what I said to mean anything about us not losing the series... in fact quite the contrary, you guys flat out outplayed us and beat us... right? If you "find it pretty funny" that most of us are disappointed and upset after such a historical season, then you have never experienced loss when everything seemly was going your way. In that case, I hope you get swept next series to have a little taste of it... or will it be back to, "we're just happy to be here" and "at least we beat the mavs" mentality?
Most of us acknowledge defeat when it happens, excuse us if we are human, I believe after the 90s, last years finals, and after this year, we've earned the right to be a little upset. Just as much as you've earned the right to be ecstatic about beating the number one seed. I was just making a statement and voicing my opinion on jackson and davis, given their history on other teams. I didnt make that stuff up, it has been all over the news. Did nelson think it was "simply arguing a bad call" when he fined them before the league did? Your own coach even disagrees with you. I personally think the T's were unwarranted from what I saw, but I wasnt there listening to them run their mouths the whole game either, were you? Nelly was.
Im also not shitting in your guy's sandbox right now either to stir things, so if you find things to be funny over here, then f off.

I was the biggest Dirk fan around. I own 7 different Dirk Jerseys (7!!!). I've stood behind him through thick and thin. But that's over. I hate him. I hate that "man" so much that no words can describe it. I want to burn every single one of those jerseys. What a useless pansy. over at GSoM some mavs fan posted before game 6 that "may the better team win" and what happened that game? the better team humiliated the lesser team by 20+ points

people say that the mavs blew it and whatever well that's true to a certain degree, but what really happened is that our coach was smarter, we forced you guys into making mistakes, we locked down dirk on defense.

You have a team designed to beat Dallas. Congrats. You school us. We, however, school every other team in the league. shrug

Enjoy Yao, Boozer, TMac, or DWilliams. Utah or Houston, the Warriors are going to be eaten for breakfast. How do you plan to stop Yao when he gets the ball in the low post? He doesn't have to put the ball on the floor to score. How do you plan to stop Boozer from barreling right through your "defense"?

And both of those teams will actually play physical with you. Your foul based defense will be matched, I guarantee it, and those teams have some fucking pride. They're not going to roll over and let you score at will without a few hard fouls to let you know they're still there.

Congrats on making it out of the first round. And enjoy the next 4 games of your '07 playoff run :)
