George takes free agency

Is the note that George is exercising his player option and will become a free agent.

Any thoughts on this? I'd say the Mavs are probably not bothered by this.

The article also mentions that Austin Croshere is leaving. At least Croshe was intense when he came off the bench which I can't say for George.

The reason they brought George in last season was because he was on the Lakers when they were winning championships. While he was at times a solid defensive player, he never really provided much of anything in the way of a spark when he came on the court.

I was more upset in the offseason last year when they let Marquis Daniels go.

To make a long analysis short, NBA vets are a dime-a-dozen. I'm sure there are some guys with some skills left in them that would love to join up with the Mavs for a championship shot.
