The other J. Howard is off to Denver
He has signed a one-year minimum, non-guaranteed contract, according to the Denver Post. Howard joins Faz, another former Maverick, who has been signed to the Nuggets' training camp roster.
Needless to say, I am thrilled about this. Howard's departure makes room for a younger guy on the team. Even though I'm all for a veteran presence, at least be a useful veteran presence; Howard, whenever he was on the floor, didn't seem to contribute that much.
Now if we can just do something about Eddie Jones...

Was there any fear they would re-sign him?
He, Magloire and Allen contributed next to nothing last year. A collection of former stars (in ’99 that was) that is now fairly useless. Okay, the front office also made a – how do I say that – hard to defend move and brought Devean George back. But Juwan was completely out of the picture to me as soon as the season ended.
Odenied!

Love your avatar/icon
I’m really excited about the Blazers this year and it’s mostly due to Rudy Fernandez. I’ll most likely watch them when they come to town (Orlando).
