The Mavericks are now down to the 15-player limit after cutting Cheyne Gadson, JaJuan Smith and Reyshawn Terry.
The only one of those three who really had a shot was Reyshawn Terry, who I think can get a roster spot somewhere. JaJuan Smith showed flashes over the summer and occasionally in the preseason, but I think his slim chance went out the window after last night.

Dallas "waives" Reyshawn Terry along with Smith and Gadson according to NBA.com transaction wire
I hope that means the Mavs still retain his draft rights. Also, I don’t really get why Lowry should get the nod over Smith just because he is a veteran and happens to be injured right now.

If Terry clears waivers,
which he most likely will, he essentially becomes a free agent.
