Hopefully,

It’s to take some pressure off of him. I still hope he gets most of the burn at 2, Stack should only brought in as a sharp shooter assuming he can still shoot the 3

Touche Wes

Just seems like he was always hitting the key 3. In that case, let’s put him out to pasture.

i can understand your original point, cause he seemed to make all those corner threes.

but yeah, he has no business starting with wright or green needing the time more.

Minnesota could be decent this year

Guess I didn’t realize them making so many moves on draft day

mavs are looking good so far.

but some of it may be the way minny makes one pass then takes a shot.

Woah....

Terry way off with that one.

He gets there

…and THEN nothing happens. Doesn’t help either that Terry keeps blowing the 2nd part of the drive and kick process.

the game

just wondering where can u get a free live stream of the game?

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 7:54 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

For that game it’s probably tough since it’s a regional channel and not that important. But a lot of games are on Veetle (NBA TV) or Justin.tv.

by Norsktroll on Nov 1, 2008 7:56 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

yea im trying justin.tv but i dont think its there. veetle? il search it

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 7:57 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

mavs should

trade the guy. he’s at a decline seriously. trade him for some1 like chris wilcox, some1 who can penetrate

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 8:28 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

or a 4th quarter offensive player, some1 who doesnt have a penchant for shooting jump shots in the 4th

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 8:31 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ha

A defender bit on a Diop pumpfake, leading to an assist for a Terry 3. Good job.

Ive been a naysayer

but i’ve been impressed tonight. Glad the mavs have him.

by bbob on Nov 1, 2008 9:02 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Is he for real?

Wish i could watch..

He is only 22, so we can just act like those first 4 years were college for him, and now he a rookie.

by tyd3311 on Nov 1, 2008 9:07 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

He's got something...

…but it’s too early. If we see this effort for first 15-20 games, I’m sold.

by Avery210 on Nov 1, 2008 9:10 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Kidd

Nice steal there.

by Avery210 on Nov 1, 2008 9:14 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

not a convincing win

i know a win is a win but judging by the boxscore this isnt convincing. This should have been a blowout

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 9:22 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Agree

Minnesota is terrible. I’ll chalk this one up to us still learning system but we should have won by 15-20.

stackhouse 1-5?! poor shooting again?!

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 9:23 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

half sarcastic half suprised he started haha

From what little of the game I saw

I thought Gerald Green looked good. Of course, the couple of minutes I saw was when he was on the floor in the 4th :)

Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. But in the mean time, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-8 baby!

by sprite on Nov 1, 2008 9:32 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

A few things...

…from Wolves Land:

1- What do you guys think about the Wolves’ rotations? In the 2nd half, it seems like your coaching staff continually put the better match ups on the floor.

2- Don’t get too excited about Green, or as we like to call him: Cupcake. He’ll have some good games where he’ll taunt you with his shooting stroke and ability to get to the rim but in the long run he simply can’t play and he’ll break your heart with the gap between ability and results.

3- How bad is Randy Foye?

4- How nice is it to have 2 superstars on your team? I’m hoping that Big Al and Love eventually get the types of calls that Kidd and Dirk do.

5- You guys are lucky to have Dwayne Casey. I’m still bitter that McHale fired him. It was, is, and always will be a BS decision. He’s a hell of a coach.

Love

He was great first half; second somewhat faded. He’s going to be a solid player though.

I’m holding judgment on Green. We’re in love with him b/c we’re used to jump shooters. You drive the lane, Mavs fans love you. But, he’s got a rep for obvious reasons. All we can do is hope is sunk in over the past year that his career is pretty close to being done. I do like what I see so far.

Foye is weird man…he’s got the tools but something is not right there.

by Avery210 on Nov 1, 2008 9:51 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

1 – No opinion

2 – I like that Green can do both, hit the outside shot and drive inside. Will be interesting to watch if he can turn his career around and become more than a flashy player

3 – Strange, streaky at best. Good rebounder for his position and decent passer, but can’t shoot. A young Kidd-light? ;-)

4 – I liked Love, he gave Dirk more trouble than his own boxscore looks like. But you still need a real center out there.

5 – Casey is a great pickup for an assistant coach.

carlisle

what carlisle should do is consistently balancing possessions to constant motion and set up plays. so that they’re not so tired at the defensive end. No way Min should have scored 85 points 70+ maybe. They should put more plays for the centers, get them into the game if they can score 10 to 12 pts then we wont rely on jumpshots that much

by slickd on Nov 1, 2008 9:34 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

when we can rely on the pts on the paint from our players then players will hesitate to shoot bad jumpshots. One thing ive noticed from dirk is when its in the fourth he relys too much on his jumpshot even on highly contested shots. As the star he should set an example
