Green
has three rebounds…I knew there was a reason I picked him up for my fantasy roster
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 7:47 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I've never played fantasy ball
I always think of trying it out, but I don’t think I’m knowledgeable enough
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 7:48 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
its addictive as hell
but u tend to get bogged down in stats…
by kkengvib on Nov 14, 2008 7:49 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Or you
root for teams you don’t like just so your players will get stats
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 7:51 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I hate doing that
Maybe it’s a good thing I’m not playing it
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 7:52 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
just pick players you like…I try to avoid picking spurs or heat…or kings…or…well you get the idea
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 7:53 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Don't play it
I hurt my wrist once playing fantasy basketball

Courtney Lee on the floor
This guy is promising, I’m excited about him

Damp is a dumbass
We had so many chances on that possession and he turns it over

This game is surprisingly boring
Everyone’s throwing bricks

You might have to settle for the online radio feed
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:04 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
i found a working one... but its like 950k...
pretty good quality… but my internet connection seems to be too slow for it… (i’m all the way in Thailand!)
try myp2p.eu
u need to download some programs to run the feeds…

I am most likely going to be at the game when they come here on Feb. 2

nice...
well… i’m actually Thai…
probably not too many foreign mavs fan on this site….
unlike u guys… i hardly get to watch live games… have to watch feeds or just the box score updates…
i only get like 1-2 espn matches a week… nuggets and celts right now

cool...nice to see an international mavs fan.

that terry and stackhouse are doing better than green? missing shots?

Halftime in New Orleans
What’s going on?
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 8:09 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We are taking too many jumpshots
But we didn’t blow a big lead or anything, so that’s good news
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:11 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
diop is shooting so the mavs are on the cusp of implode mode
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 8:12 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Broke his promise
Didn’t he give an interview today that everything under the basket should be a dunk?
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 8:12 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'm watching Devin and the Nets during the breaks
It’s actually a good game against the Hawks
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:15 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I wish I bought LP online
There was a discount, right? I’m broke.
by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 8:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, I think so
LP broadband is cheaper than the LP on TV, though the TV one comes with LP broadband. Expensive, though!
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Trying to facilitate and getting to the rim instead of jacking up contested fadeaways
is good enough when it comes to Stack
by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 8:22 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Kidd on the bench again
The game really changes when he’s not there…is Carlisle still experimenting on when to put certain guys in?
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
a good stream
any1 know where i can watch a good strem of this game im watching in this site and i think its turkish, damn slow!

oops... wrong box score...
my bad… lol
by kkengvib on Nov 14, 2008 8:28 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
So everyone...
when did you become a mavs fan?
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 8:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Let this be our halftime topic
When I moved here to Dallas in 2004
by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 8:29 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
the spring of 2005
i never liked sports before but my friends from HS watched that year and I played with them after graduating from college. I became a fan of the mavs and of playing basketball
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 8:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
for 5 years now since the 2002-2003 season
funny thing was I hated the Mavs before that I thought they were too good like the spurs and they were a team of wimpy white boys, then i played em on NBA LIVE 2003 just for the heck of it then they grew on me. I’ve been watching em eversince
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 8:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I became a fan...
about 4 minutes into the second quarter.
:)
/really, 1994. Shortly after I moved here. I suppose that’s why I’m not alarmed at 2-6.
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 14, 2008 8:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
must be about 6-7 yrs ago
latter seasons of the big 3 (nash, finley, dirk)
man… i hate the kings with a passion back then
by kkengvib on Nov 14, 2008 8:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
lol...
used to love the games against them though… they were sort of in the same mold as us… with bibby and peja jackin’ up 3s all the time….
it was usually a shootout…
cuban vs. maloofs
their fans vs. ours…
good rivalry… even though neither team had a real shot at winning the championship
by kkengvib on Nov 14, 2008 8:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
+1 on Kings hatred.
Just seeing Hedo’s face makes me wanna punch my TV.
‘Course it’s nowhere near the same team now, but still….
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 14, 2008 8:41 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I could be remembering this wrong...it might be around 2001-2002
But they were playing the T-wolves in the early playoff rounds and that’s when I started liking Dallas. Totally random, I know. It was during the Nash/Dirk/Finley days.
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 8:41 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
damn... +17
for jason kidd…. game high by far…
tells u how important he is to the mavs
by kkengvib on Nov 14, 2008 8:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
why don't
we have a mavs moneyball fantasy b-ball league?
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 8:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
it'd be interesting
to see how quickly dirk gets drafted… :)

With this group...
Gerald Green would go first.
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 14, 2008 8:42 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

Norsktroll
That was a close game vs. the Hornets…I only saw a little bit of it. How did the Blazers lose? Oden has a double double, I think.
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 9:24 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm as happy as ever about a loss
Greg looked great on both ends, and he can hit free throws. Cowherd and Simmons for the loss.
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 9:26 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
How was Rudy?
I saw he missed an alley oop but made the free throws since he got fouled
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 9:27 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Didn't get many shots. Not his best game
He was fouled hard on an alley-oop attempt that should have been a flagrant 1. Hit a nice three, but also bricked a few shots.
Roy wasn’t as clutch as usual and took a bad shot with 8 sec. to go and Posey in his face – who was the man of the final minutes. But hey, the Hornets are a dominant team in the West and the Blazers are still young and learning.
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 9:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That was last night.
I’m talking about now.
I think they look better tonight. I’m going to go ahead and call the win: 104-86.

But hey, I really like the guy! I was thisclose to getting a Bass t-shirt last time I went to the Mavs shop

Dirk is back to taking awkward shots
He was hitting them earlier when his feet were planted
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 9:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I am guessing
we have the starting line up in after this timeout…with the exception of terry staying in instead of Green
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 9:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
its dirk and terry
i think they are the main problem two possessions they just hog the ball with a damn jumpshot!
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 9:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
how the f*ck are you gonna take a jumpshot
with plenty of time remaining in the shotclock now thats just stupid! get your head in the game terry!
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 9:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
oh jeez
they called it on dirk on the radio
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 9:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
They didn't...which is why Rashard got the tech
And Dirk hit the tech free throw
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 9:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
if orlando gets back into this
it’ll be terry or dirk’s fault im telling you watch it closely they’re gonna take a bad shot again
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 9:34 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
that and
they are winning the rebound game in the second half
by ETBURyan on Nov 14, 2008 9:34 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
J-ho
has more points in the second half than the first

www.mavsmoneyball.com
by Wes Cox on Nov 14, 2008 9:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Maybe it's Diop
’s fault. Theres more warts on this team than Dirk and Terry popping jumpers
by Colorblind on Nov 14, 2008 9:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
another point carlisle has to correct
We don’t commit on defense in the inside its always when some1 drives we commit too late thats why we always get called for the foul. 28 FT’s for Orl
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 9:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Enough with the J's already
Get to the line

by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 9:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

And he finishes anyway.

Kidd could have tried to drive, instead they turn it over
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 9:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
and Kidd insists on passing it to Dirk
when it’s Lewis’ hands that are awaiting

i told you last shot by Nowitzki a difficult jumper
Im starting to believe that he should be a Robin more than a Batman for this team.

THE worst loss of the season so far
and it looks like we’re in store for many, many more candidates for that title in the future
by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 10:05 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Stunned
This reminds me of a 90s era team. At least back then we had a lot of young players building towards a bright future. The near future looks dismal.
by dirk41 on Nov 14, 2008 10:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Damp
I rag on him a lot, but I thought he did a good job on Howard tonight, clogging up the lane and everything, even though Damp didn’t score a lot. Did he foul out or something, is that why he wasn’t in the game during the waning minutes?
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 10:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
He was really good against the Bulls. 18 and 16 I think
Though they played without a real C. Diop looks not good at all compared to him.
by Norsktroll on Nov 14, 2008 10:11 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I also thought the Mavs got a lot of breaks
in terms of calls. No excuses.
by dirk41 on Nov 14, 2008 10:07 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Man, I don't know about you
But I could just feel the frustration and sadness within the Mavs
by ptrck on Nov 14, 2008 10:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
See, that's the thing that I don't understand
This was to be a new slate for them, a fresh start…it’s like they started the season discouraged or something.

Dirk showed up tonight, I thought; Josh did well, so did Terry…again, we just went cold at the wrong times and settled for the J too much
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 10:09 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
And i guess the DMN
Will not ask Carlisle again why the Mavs keep taking badshots, can’t close and loose close leads in the 4th. They will assure us that they will correct it then we might loose to the Knicks. I wanna be optimistic but its time to make moves DAMMIT!!!!!
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 10:12 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

What's going on in the post-game in Dallas?
Any interesting quotes from the coach yet?
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 10:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Hey a good topic!
If you were the post game interviewer, what would you ask RC and the rest of the players?
by slickd on Nov 14, 2008 10:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'd ask for some kind of explanation as to why the team collapses down the stretch
Why they can’t hold on to a lead…why they resort to jump shots so much…why they seem so demoralized after sounding so optimistic about the acquisition of a new coach and the adoption of a new system and offense…why they don’t play they way they used to when the team is basically made up of the same players…and how does it feel taking on the burden of dealing with the stigma and mental/emotional scarring from two playoff collapses.
by Marie on Nov 14, 2008 10:56 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Next opponent...the Knicks used to be a guaranteed win
But now, the Mavs are 2-7 and NY is 6-3! Charlotte should be a win, but who knows?
Interesting stat…first Orlando win in Dallas since 1997, and first win at the AAC.
by dirk41 on Nov 14, 2008 10:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

hey guys chill a bit
seriously, you have a great team. yeah, the results have not been good early, but still, many many would love to be in your place (thunder? poor guys). howard dirk jet and kidd are going to turn it around sooner or later, but my guess is sooner. no need to panic 9 games into a season.

It's not the fact that they're losing, really
It’s the way we are losing that is causing us to feel this way and the fact that right now, at least, it seems un-fixable.
