Jerry Stackhouse Looking For An Out
Can't say that I'm shocked...
Eddie Sefko is reporting that Jerry Stackhouse is talking with his agent and exploring his options to find a new team -- including a possible buyout.
"The team is always going to protect themselves, so I can't force their hand to do anything,'' Stackhouse said. "I don't really know all the options right now. I talked to Jeff (Schwartz, his agent) yesterday and we've had dialogue over the last few weeks and it's like we were going to keep playing it out. And it's to the point now where it's time to start researching some things and see if there are some other possibilities that make more sense for me right now.''

Love Stack, but he just doesn't have it any more.
Possible options to replace him would be McDyess or Marbury I would guess. Although I doubt either would want to come here. Be intersting to see if you can package him in a trade to get something interesting. Maybe Harrington? Pipe dream but…
Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. Back to Suckville with a loss to FLA ATL but whatever, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-9 baby!

Yeah, something's definitely wrong with him.
I certainly don’t expect him to play like a young guy, but he just seems out of sync on the court. I’m sure it’s in his head, but something’s definitely not right. He’s a shadow of the player he was last year in his limited minutes so far.
Anyone giving odds that maybe he fails a physical if they try and trade him?

Good luck with that, Stack
He’s a great character guy and used to be a fantastic player, but dude doesn’t have it anymore. I can’t imagine the Mavs getting much in return for him; they may be better off buying him out.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
"My mother always taught me that if the only thing you have to say is,
‘(Expletive) Dave Samson,’ then don’t say anything at all.
So I’m not going to say anything at all.
Is my mother the greatest or what?"

Trade him to Memphis for a second round pick

Or wait until end of December and try to get Quinton Ross (who should have been signed anyway)
But probably they will get nothing and just buy Stack out.

Good Luck
Stack has benefitted us in season’s past and I wish him well. I would hope that he could help on this team with his court vision, but this season he has been more interested in jacking up contested jumpers. Alas.

One more idea: The "Jamaal Tinsley for Stack straight up" post makes a lot of sense now
As opposed to both teams buying their guys out.
