I have the Bobcats guys

They are talking about the uniforms in quite a bit of detail…it’s riveting, I tell you

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:11 PM CST reply actions

D. George

Back to the inactive list again

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:12 PM CST reply actions

We better not

do this “drop-off” thing after another fast start.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:17 PM CST reply actions

Hopefully it'll be a blowout

And some energy can be conserved since they play Houston tomorrow

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:18 PM CST reply actions

I'm confident

we can beat Houston.

All we need is to play solid for four quarters and hope Yao gets blocked by the rim a couple more times. T-Mac might not play.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:20 PM CST up reply actions

OT: Who should I trade Kobe for in my fantasy basketball league?

He’s sucked so far and I don’t think he’ll get better. I’m thinking D-Wade but there are obvious reasons not to. LeBron and CP3 are untouchable, I already got rejected on Stoudemire. Who else?

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:23 PM CST reply actions

Chris Bosh?

I don’t play fantasy basketball, but Bosh usually has good numbers. How about Dwight Howard?

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:24 PM CST up reply actions

Howard

kills FT% like Shaq used to. I might look into Bosh though, I need a stud big man.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:25 PM CST up reply actions

Nuh-uh

too low value for Kobe.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:29 PM CST up reply actions

Gay

My Bryant+Marc Gasol trade for Wade and Chandler got rejected.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:31 PM CST up reply actions

Marc Gasol

Had one monster game and that’s about it. I have high hopes for that guy, though…he’s solid and can bang around with other big guys. He impressed me against the Magic; he wasn’t letting Dwight Howard push him around in the paint.

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:33 PM CST up reply actions

12/8

his averages. He could get to Pau’s first year numbers for the Grizz.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:34 PM CST up reply actions

Can't even get

the sexy production of Danny Granger cos his owner is a Celtics fan.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:35 PM CST up reply actions

And naturally

can’t bitch about it since then everyone will know I’m selling low on Kobe.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:36 PM CST up reply actions

Manu

and Al Jefferson for Kobe and Marc.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:54 PM CST up reply actions

I love that kid

and wish he were a Mav

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 18, 2008 6:26 PM CST up reply actions

I guess

the Longhorns would be NCAAT favourites if he stayed.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:27 PM CST up reply actions

yea pretty good game!

too bad stack wants out when his team is playing pretty good. pretty selfish jumping ship like that, he wants more minutes right? I took a look at possible destinations or prospective trades. What do you think of Harpring for Stack. I mean that trade isnt that risky for both teams. Harpring can provide us with toughness, he’s a basketball player trapped in a football players body or vice-versa? hahaha

by slickd on Nov 18, 2008 6:36 PM CST reply actions

Harpring

that guy is a solid player. Great system player, nice shooter, tough, plays good D.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:36 PM CST up reply actions

well i think stack does too right?

if stack was smart he’s gonna request for a trade to a possible winner, a team that has a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Both players are not shooting pretty good recently. both have 2 years left. Stack has 1 mil more in the contract so when it expires a little bit more $.

by slickd on Nov 18, 2008 6:39 PM CST up reply actions

just imagine

bass and harpring off the bench? thats a physical duo right there. no one can call us soft after that!

by slickd on Nov 18, 2008 6:44 PM CST up reply actions

Has Carlisle fallen in love with small-ball again?

Is that a trend for the Mavs? I read this week teams are rather trying to play bigger (Raptors, Nets, Blazers, even Suns).

by Norsktroll on Nov 18, 2008 6:51 PM CST reply actions

I see this more as a "breaking in" thing

First Singleton, now Williams. But the lack of Damp (forget about Diop) is questionable.

by ptrck on Nov 18, 2008 6:54 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah

Charlotte doesn’t have a real center and Damp would have the advantage there.

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 6:55 PM CST up reply actions

Annoying

but against Charlotte I feel pretty good about Dallas being able to put their starters back in and stretch it back out

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 18, 2008 6:57 PM CST up reply actions

time for

the starting lineup to go in again

by slickd on Nov 18, 2008 6:57 PM CST reply actions

Wow

Devin’s sinking jumpers for NJ. And NY’s keeping even with Boston so far, unlike that game last season.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 6:58 PM CST reply actions

And a three

This guy could win my roto league.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:02 PM CST up reply actions

I'll be in great shape

if it becomes a keeper league.

Monta, Granger, Harris, Josh, Deng, Iggy, Lee, Thaddeus Young, Thornton, Millsap, Jefferson, Bass, Westbrook then Fin kicking up the rear. Young guns!

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:04 PM CST up reply actions

Granger is a nice pick, he should stuff almost all categories

I wanted him badly for the Blazers or Mavs, but unfortunately he re-signed in Indy.

by Norsktroll on Nov 18, 2008 7:11 PM CST up reply actions

Wait til

he pulls out “It was a great game, both teams played hard.”

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:01 PM CST up reply actions

That's classic

But I like Rasheed’s CTC quote: “As long as somebody ‘CTC,’ at the end of the day I’m with them,” he said.

Pause, then: “For all you that don’t know what CTC means, that’s ‘Cut the Check.’”

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:05 PM CST up reply actions

damn

stackhouse pissing me off!

by slickd on Nov 18, 2008 7:04 PM CST reply actions

20 points

we haven’t led like this most season.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:05 PM CST reply actions

The hard part is hanging on to the lead

Hopefully they can do it…they can’t act like they’ve won it already

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:06 PM CST up reply actions

That's when we played

a bunch of scrubs, not just three.

Dirk or Josh could stay on until we put it out of reach (say 20 with five left).

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:08 PM CST up reply actions

Put Damp back on

8 rebounds in 9 minutes? The guy is unconscious.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:06 PM CST reply actions

I'm still here

But watching the Nets/Cavs game

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:19 PM CST reply actions

Uh, where's the foul on Damp there?

How is that a blocking foul on him when Okafor went over the back

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:23 PM CST reply actions

Seems like

Marquis is finally finding something in Indy.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 7:28 PM CST reply actions

Man these Charlotte announcers...

it must suck to call these games…being down 20 points…a big block is a “spark” the Bobcats need…haha

by smt83 on Nov 18, 2008 7:39 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, I feel bad for them

They were talking about the uniforms earlier. I guess they’re just trying to look for anything positive.

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:39 PM CST up reply actions

the ESPN guys would be perfect replacements to call their games

Because no matter who plays, they ALWAYS find a way to sneak in small talk about Kobe, Wade, LeBron, and KG’s “leadership”

by ptrck on Nov 18, 2008 7:42 PM CST up reply actions

Ha!

Don’t forget how they also always manage to drool over Chris Paul, too

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:43 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah, and how clutch KG is.

They must have forgot that he used to play for Minnesota.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 7:44 PM CST up reply actions

I just hope

Followill and Ortegel don’t ever have to resort to talking about uniforms and other useless stuff…that would be a sad day

by smt83 on Nov 18, 2008 7:43 PM CST up reply actions

What the hell,

the earth can’t end now, I’m only 19.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 7:46 PM CST up reply actions

Dunk it, Dirk!

He’ll most likely get the call if he gets hit

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:45 PM CST reply actions

Because the 4th quarter is still ahead...

and we all know thats game time for our Dallas Mavericks…HA!

by smt83 on Nov 18, 2008 7:48 PM CST up reply actions

Last year it was the 3rd quarter.

Maybe we should go back to last year’s method.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

It doesn't look like they'll blow this lead

The Bobcats don’t have a lot of energy with the exception of Augustin

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:49 PM CST up reply actions

Augustin

will probably have to have at least a 20 point quarter for Charlotte to win

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 18, 2008 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

He's made a lot of shots,

is that because Kidd is guarding him and he isn’t quick enough?

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

Haha

I had to laugh at that…Dirk can be a bit slow

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:46 PM CST reply actions

Howard

His 2nd straight good 4th quarter? I’m shocked.

Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. Back to Suckville with a loss to FLA ATL but whatever, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-9 baby!

by sprite on Nov 18, 2008 7:54 PM CST reply actions

The Charlotte Announcers Quote...

“You try to figure out what went wrong tonight…and I think the 15 point run to start the first was to hard to overcome” OR…the Bobcats really suck and need to make a bunch of moves this season

by smt83 on Nov 18, 2008 7:55 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, definitely

Either they get rid of May or make him get in shape…unfortunately for them, Okafor is like a semi bust, same with Morrison. The J-Rich acquisition is nice, but that guy is always hurt.

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 7:56 PM CST up reply actions

A 15 point run to start the game was hard to overcome.

Really, most runs like that are hard to overcome when you’re not good.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 7:57 PM CST up reply actions

I have noticed that Green plays a lot less minutes than Terry,

so what is the point of starting Green over him then.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 8:02 PM CST reply actions

Maybe Terry is like the "fake" sixth man, so to speak

Like Manu…coming off the bench with starter’s minutes

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 8:04 PM CST up reply actions

Hey guys

glad we’re still leading.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 8:07 PM CST reply actions

What pisses me off:

that when you want more sauce on your McDonald’s sundae for a certain flavour like hot fudge, but don’t get enough of it.

Then next time, you order a sickingly sweet flavour like caramel and you get too much.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 8:10 PM CST up reply actions

I just love

what the Kings got for Artest.

Bobby Jackson: 3.2PPG (will go up after tonight’s 10 point effort but…)
Donte Greene: a bucketful of crap.

by jonthefon on Nov 18, 2008 8:09 PM CST reply actions

13 point lead

Let’s not collapse here, guys

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 8:11 PM CST reply actions

Dirk is still in there.

I have witnessed time and time again.

by srdmad on Nov 18, 2008 8:17 PM CST reply actions

Alright!!!

We have a little winning streak going on here.

by ptrck on Nov 18, 2008 8:19 PM CST reply actions

Yay.

Go Mavs. Rockets tmrw. Without T-Mac, very winnable.

Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. Back to Suckville with a loss to FLA ATL but whatever, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-9 baby!

by sprite on Nov 18, 2008 8:19 PM CST reply actions

Yao is probably okay

Even though he tweaked the ankle or whatever. It was Artest that I saw limping.

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 8:22 PM CST up reply actions

You changed it again, Wes

To “Hey, we won a game,” haha. I like it. I think it’s a great idea to use the quotes that are reflecting the state of the team (and the fans).

by Marie on Nov 18, 2008 10:00 PM CST reply actions

Thanks, I like it too

not sure why I never messed with it before.
