Bobcats on the verge of making a trade with Mavs?
All credit goes to And1Mak at dallasbasketball.com
"Just waived two guys (linton johnson/andre brown) to open up roster spots.
They have been involved in trade rumors since the off-season. The Mavs have been involved in trade rumors lately.
Larry Brown has said he would like a big man. The 'Cats were in love with Diop this off-season.
Stack is from North Carolina.
Will mikejoeb get his wish? Are the Mavs involved?"

C'mon
Can’t even trade Diop until Dec. 15th.

Actually I think it's 3 months after signing or Dec 15th
whichever comes first… Diop signed in July, IIRC.

The Bobcats can have Diop
and if they want Stackhouse too, they can have him for all I care. Who would be the backup center then? And what would we get in return, Felton, Morrison, Dudley? Then trade Howard for Kaman, so we have two centers? Would I like to do this, yeah, but I just don’t believe that the Bobcats would want Diop’s long contract.
I have witnessed time and time again.

They probably...
aren’t so in love with Diop after seeing him this year…uggg. Now that we are back into “playing well”, the trade rumors will probably slow down.
That said I would love to get rid of Diop’s contract and get something in return for him and stack.

Bobcats yes ... Mavs maybe
The Bobcats are most definitely going to make a trade, it just won’t necessarily be with the Mavs. I’m not too familiar with the Bobcats so I’m not sure who’s good and who’s not or what they would want in return. Would a Carroll/Wallace for Stack/Terry/Bass swap be fair?
Signature! I don't need no stinking signature!!

I would take Terry over Carroll.
Terry can sometimes score a lot of points and be the offense, like last night, Carroll can’t do that. Between Wallace and Bass, I would take Wallace, but since Wallace and Carroll’s contract run past next season, I would not do this deal. But I like the idea of trading Bass, because he is a free agent and I don’t see him starting on our team in the near future.
I have witnessed time and time again.

I don't give up
Bass and Terry in the same deal unless I get a star back…and Gerald Wallace, while productive, is not a star.

From Rotoworld...
Harrington
Al Harrington is rumored to have been traded to the Knicks on Friday, although details are still unclear.
Three possible scenarios exist, with the Knicks sending either Jamal Crawford or Malik Rose to the Warriors in the first two. The third and newest option, reported by Newsday, has the Clippers and Warriors sending Harrington, Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley to the Knicks, with Crawford, Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins being moved between the Clips and Warriors. This would clear cap space for the Knicks and give Harrington a starting job with Randolph out of the way. Stay tuned as details emerge throughout the day. Nov. 21 – 6:33 am et
I’d imagine Randolph is headed to the Clippers in that deal, if so Kaman may start to be a real possibility to come here, But the only player that would make sense going the other way is Josh Howard.. I only do that deal if Eric Gordon is also coming this way.

Terry for Kaman, straight up, might also make sense.

deals with Stackhouse that I like:
to Portland for Steve Blake and Channing Frye (Bass?)
to Oklahoma City for either Wilcox or Collison (Bass?)
with 2 of George, Williams and Wright to New York for Nate Robinson, David Lee and Jerome James
to Memphis for Lowry and Darko (Bass?)
to Denver for JR Smith and Chucky Atkins
with Williams, George or Wright to Chicago for Hinrich
to Charlotte for Felton and May (Bass?)
to Atlanta for Acie Law and either Marvin Williams or Zaza Pachulia (Bass?)
if you want to get crazy:
Stack and Terry to Miami for Marion’s last year
Stack and Terry to Milwaukee for Michael Redd (highly doubtful they would do this…maybe we have to include Bass here as well)

Stackhouse has little to 0 value.
Never for Blake and Frye. Probably couldn’t get Blake alone.
Maybe Wilcox.
LOL, You couldn’t get Nate or David Lee alone.
Could maybe get Chucky Atkins
No one wants George, Williams, or Wright
Maybe May alone.
MArvin Williams- Josh Howard.

that's why I threw Bass in as question marks to a lot of those...
I’m pretty sure we’d have to add him. I’d LOVE to get Wilcox for Stackhouse. Inside scoring, can play PF or C, would allow us to deal Bass if we’re pretty sure we’re not going to be able to re-sign him to another team for a young PG

I would do the Redd deal and Darko deal.
I am pretty positive that Redd would opt out after next season, because so many teams will a lot of cap space and a lot of those teams will miss out on Lebron, Wade, etc., so they would give a good player like Redd a big contract. With Darko, he can’t be worse than Stackhouse, because he wasn’t doing anything for our team anyway.
I have witnessed time and time again.

I thought about it and I would do the Marion.
We get rid of Terry’s contract and we get a guy that Jason Kidd would love to throw ally-oops to.

My comment makes it seem that I would do the Marion trade out of all of these.
What I meant to say was I like that deal just like I like the Redd and Darko deals. I would rank the Redd deal as my favorite then the Darko deal then the Marion deal.
I have witnessed time and time again.
