LOL at the Mavs pre-game video

“Mike Finley: wanted for treason in North Texas.”

I am going to stay true to my statement last night

And drink during this game. Just wine though, nothing crazy…one of those little bottles.

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:11 PM CST reply actions

I just ordered a pizza

so I think a beer is in order over here.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 7:14 PM CST up reply actions

It sounds like a pizza and beer kind of game

I personally am having wine and chips/salsa.

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:18 PM CST up reply actions

Aw

These aren’t the Dallas commentators on League Pass.

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:30 PM CST reply actions

The Spurs commentators, I assume?

Too bad then, you’re stuck with Sean Elliott.

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 7:33 PM CST up reply actions

Ugh, I know

Not sure who is worse, him or the Suns guy…is it Eddie Johnson?

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:35 PM CST up reply actions

I wish

TWC had league pass… who really uses directv anyways.

by JayKim41 on Nov 4, 2008 7:36 PM CST reply actions

You should sign up for the free League Pass broadband preview

It lasts until the 11th, and you just need a NBA.com account. No credit card information is needed.

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:39 PM CST up reply actions

i have it

its just really slow for some reason compared to the links i find on channelsurfing

by JayKim41 on Nov 4, 2008 7:40 PM CST up reply actions

Here we go

I hope we don’t lose

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 7:40 PM CST reply actions

Can anybody confirm this

I remember reading somewhere before that Kidd is winless so far against Tony Parker

???

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 7:48 PM CST reply actions

Just tuning in..

I went to the game last night and well.. haha

by b3tts32 on Nov 4, 2008 7:50 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, haha

We know how that turned out…must have been a lot worse seeing that performance in person

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:51 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah everybody was just in shock

when the cavs kept scoring and he just left the bench in during that 4th quarter stretch

by b3tts32 on Nov 4, 2008 7:52 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah, that was odd

That he called a timeout and made no adjustments, and then he called another one shortly after to put in his starters….so that’s like two wasted timeouts

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:53 PM CST up reply actions

That was a lousy call on Damp

They didn’t blow the whistle until after Duncan missed the shot and after they saw his theatrics!

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 7:53 PM CST reply actions

If we can somehow win this game

this will do wonders for our confidence and probably could see a nice stretch of wins.

by b3tts32 on Nov 4, 2008 7:53 PM CST reply actions

just tuned in, and the first thing i see is about 3 offensive rebounds for the spurs.

sigh doesn’t quite say it.

Terry

Doing a lot better tonight

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:11 PM CST reply actions

Hopefully

Terry can continue it into the 4th quarter…

by smt83 on Nov 4, 2008 8:17 PM CST up reply actions

Good job by Dirk

Swiping that ball from Parker, I think

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:22 PM CST reply actions

Josh

Taking too many jumpshots now

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:24 PM CST reply actions

Nevermind,

I forgot I had paused for a couple of seconds earlier in the quarter.

Damn

By the way, I am in no way affiliated with DirecTV ;)

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 8:28 PM CST up reply actions

Good job, Kidd

He knew he missed and followed the shot

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:29 PM CST reply actions

Wow, was that really a three

I thought he had a toe on the line, but I’ll take it

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:30 PM CST reply actions

What I would give

to hear Mark Followell right now

by smt83 on Nov 4, 2008 8:30 PM CST reply actions

damn

the spurs are terrible this year

by JayKim41 on Nov 4, 2008 8:31 PM CST reply actions

+1

Just thinking the same thing…….not even remotely close to Spurs basketball,

by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 4, 2008 8:33 PM CST up reply actions

Instead

I have to listen to these clowns…Bill Land and Sean Elliott…ugh…I wish you could choose on the League Pass which broadcast you want

by smt83 on Nov 4, 2008 8:32 PM CST reply actions

Are you in Dallas and watching on LP?

Just turn the volume down and turn on ESPN radio

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 8:33 PM CST up reply actions

I wish...

Moved out to the Bay Area over a year ago…have to shell out over 300 bucks a year to watch the Mavs and Stars…

Awesome

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 8:33 PM CST reply actions

Hey, it might not be too late

For the Spurs, that is…our hot shooting streak might not continue

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:43 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah

but the Spurs actually have chance of coming back.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 8:42 PM CST reply actions

hmmm

both will be buried in 30 mins

by zkmavz on Nov 4, 2008 8:43 PM CST up reply actions

i voted for mccain

but i knew who would win tonight…. just hope the mavs keep this up

by zkmavz on Nov 4, 2008 8:44 PM CST up reply actions

Was that a two or three for Kidd?

I didn’t see because the League Pass info was scrolling

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:49 PM CST reply actions

JKidd

he thought about that three for a sec

by smt83 on Nov 4, 2008 8:49 PM CST reply actions

is terry a long term starter for this team though?

he’s great in offensive efficiency and all… i love what he brings to the table…
he is matched up with finley… so he’s not really being tested on the defensive end like he would be when we are up against other elite teams…

by kkengvib on Nov 4, 2008 8:50 PM CST reply actions

He's not the favorite to start

I still think Carlisle wants it to be Wright, but Terry is making a case for himself.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 8:53 PM CST up reply actions

Damp seems to be a little better handling the ball.

Maybe it’s my imagination, but I’ve seen him make plays in a few situations already this year that his hands were always too dumb to make. Whatever it is, I hope he keeps doing it.

by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 4, 2008 8:53 PM CST up reply actions

23-point lead; I'm impressed

I’d be more impressed if we actually don’t blow it and win the game

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 8:52 PM CST reply actions

i flipped over to election coverage

to watch another blowout for a bit… plus i get nervous when the mavs have big leads… and id rather them keep it and me not watch, than me watch and them blow it

by zkmavz on Nov 4, 2008 8:52 PM CST reply actions

I get that way sometimes

I irrationally think that I am jinxing them somehow

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 8:53 PM CST up reply actions

That pass by Kidd was nice

the bounce to Damp

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 8:56 PM CST reply actions

x2

maybe that spanking by the Cavs was necessary

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 8:59 PM CST up reply actions

Damnit, just realized I'm five minutes behind

forgot I paused during halftime.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 8:57 PM CST reply actions

Terry

Totally on tonight

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 9:01 PM CST reply actions

love it when the shots are falling...

but should we be trying to attack the rim and possibly get to the line more…
we certainly won’t be this hot from the field every game

by kkengvib on Nov 4, 2008 9:04 PM CST reply actions

I know it

I guess they’re taking advantage of the hot streak

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 9:05 PM CST up reply actions

You have to, right?

Reminds me of that 67-win Mavs team. A season-long “hot streak”

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 9:07 PM CST up reply actions

Ballsy Josh

I would have killed him if that didnt go in

by smt83 on Nov 4, 2008 9:13 PM CST reply actions

In his defense

He had to shoot for the 2 for 1 opportunity

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 9:14 PM CST up reply actions

Crap

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Nov 4, 2008 9:19 PM CST reply actions

i hate to be the guys who comes in and harps on the bad.

so i’ll say the mavs were crazy out of their minds in the first half.
please , don’t give up a humongus lead….

Kidd

Needs 1 point and 2 boards for a triple double

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 9:37 PM CST reply actions

I know

He helped out big time

by Marie on Nov 4, 2008 9:38 PM CST up reply actions

So does this mean

Coach Carlisle is sticking with JET at 2? Worked tonight..

by ptrck on Nov 4, 2008 9:38 PM CST up reply actions

Well

it’s just one game but, I’m back to optimistic. What a kneejerker I am.

Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. But in the mean time, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-8 baby!
