And....
The Hornets lost to the Bobcats.. our division looks to be within our grasp tonight, as the rockets were handed their second loss by the blazers in a thrilling finish last night.

Can I discuss the Nets/Pistons game
Since I"m watching it right now…and I’d also like to add how much I miss Devin. He has a new career high tonight (37 right now with 18.6 left to go) and he took over the third quarter, attacking the rim and drawing fouls. He got to the foul line so many times 22 times, making 19 free throws.
by Marie on Nov 7, 2008 9:00 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nets win
Devin was awesome, needless to say…he hurt his ankle during the game, though
by Marie on Nov 7, 2008 9:04 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Speaking of ankles
Tony Parker is out 2 weeks. This must really suck for the Spurs, and for Tony himself of course. Guy’s having a monster start to the season.

Boom shakalaka.
I don’t know whether to feel sorry for the Spurs or to mock the worst of their fans.
by jonthefon on Nov 7, 2008 9:30 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I was gonna ask
Who Mavs fans would root for in that last game, Miami or San Antonio
by Marie on Nov 7, 2008 9:32 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think I'll be sick again
if the Heat make the playoffs – then there’ll be fanboys all over the place sucking Wade’s nutbags.
by jonthefon on Nov 7, 2008 9:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That’s going to kill the Spurs while he’s out. They don’t have enough firepower to live without Parker and Manu
by NBR on Nov 7, 2008 10:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Is this game
being streamed online at somewhere like Veetle?
by jonthefon on Nov 7, 2008 9:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
A quickie on Devin's 37 points
He shot 22 FTs, making 19 of them. Wow. D-Whistle-ish.
by ptrck on Nov 7, 2008 9:35 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
They just confirmed
McDyess is going to waivers. Do you think Mavs have any chance of getting him? I’m not sure he’d be completely necessary though.
by jonthefon on Nov 7, 2008 9:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Who
posted that thing on Kidd’s assist-to-TO ratio? Just curse dhim, he turned it over on the first poss.

Josh with a jumpshot
The first of hopefully not many…attack the rim, Josh!
by Marie on Nov 7, 2008 9:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Josh split the D
but a foul on Damp for a screen.
Then he gets another.

Another damn foul
Almost in penalty.

No doubt.
They oughta hammer the ‘painted area’.

I hope that ass Baron Davis
gets off his chair soon and starts producing for my fantasy team. Though naturally, I’d take him ruining my fantasy team’s weekly matchup if it comes against the Mavs.

Offense has looked poor over the last few minutes though, lot of long jumpers at the end of the shot clock.

Green needs to take it back inside.
He has officially failed the ‘heat check’.

His left wrist is hurting. Then again, he used his right on that one.

Kidd
Needs one more assist for the triple double…time to find the vodka, I suppose

I wasn't going to say anything.

He's still one dime away.
No reason to wait, though.

The free throw difference is ridiculous.

Plus it seems
the Nugs are shooting them better than normal.
by jonthefon on Nov 7, 2008 11:52 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Sure.
But just the number of attempts…..Mavs got in the penalty too fast.

great inbounds play
not used to that… shot wasnt off in time.. but hell he was open… that is one good thing to take away from this game

Kidd missed the front end of a free throw that would have tied it against the Lakers last year.
When Kidd made that layup I thought of that game immdiately.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:20 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah. Kidd makes the FT, then and now, the entire game would have changed.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:21 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He missed the front end both times.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:22 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
If it weren't for our stupidity (the players, the turnovers, the fouls, the Stack), then we win this one. Just look at the freethrows.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:20 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Hey, reminds me of last year.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:21 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Maybe if
Rick Carlisle had played Gerald Green all along we actually would have won, maybe he’ll learn after this. I swear if he doesnt start feeding him serious minutes over stackhouse and wright he should get fired
by Commotion on Nov 8, 2008 12:20 AM CST reply actions 1 recs
i gagree so hard
i freaking hate wright and stack… more green please
by zkmavz on Nov 8, 2008 12:24 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Green should be starting at SG.
Him and Kidd could score some major points, just like that dunk.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:26 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I don't know about the start...
but he definitely needs more minutes. Stack and Wright just don’t look ready.
Any place we can find a season average for +/- ? Stack’s +/- for the season must be awful…..
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 8, 2008 12:28 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Should at least start over anybody, but Terry.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:29 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
JET plays better when he starts.
Green is an excellent change of pace off the bench. He should be in ahead of Stack and Wright at this point, I think.

by zkmavz on Nov 8, 2008 12:21 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
lol
For me, at least have the games during the day. Yet Another Frustrating Mavs Loss + trying to sleep = not good
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:27 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
C'mon, Marie, it's the Clippers
But if we lose that one…
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:29 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Davis and Camby are back, I think
I saw them playing the other day…the Rockets beat them tonight
by Marie on Nov 8, 2008 12:30 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
What team would want Stack, though?
If the Mavs are considering trading him
by Marie on Nov 8, 2008 12:29 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Maybe a team with a big contract player,
but we would have to give up someone to match salary.
I have witnessed time and time again.

Watching the FSN recap
Nene didn’t even strip the ball off Bass. He just totally LOST it. Unbelievable.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:30 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, I know...I was freaking out over here at the idiocy...you just don't make silly mistakes during crunch time
by Marie on Nov 8, 2008 12:31 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Why is Bass the first guy to get the ball anyway?
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:32 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Teams do it all the time. That way, a big is taken out of the paint.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:34 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
What about Dirk?
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:35 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I saw Dirk already at the post. Maybe the plan was for Kidd to get it from Bass, then get it to Dirk.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:36 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think Dirk has two men on him anyway.
As he should have.
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 8, 2008 12:37 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
If he's on the 3 point line he will either have 1 man on him or 2,
either someone can make a play, weather it’s Dirk one on one or someone else who would be open.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:38 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
+1
Also, you should be able to reasonably expect a PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYER to be able to at least catch the ball.
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 8, 2008 12:35 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
At the end of the game, I want my best players and shooters on the floor.
If the best players miss the shot and the team gets the rebound they can pass it out, if they don’t have a good look.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:42 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Makes sense...
but the play was likely to go away from Bass. He was probably just taking the inbounds and drawing a big out of the middle.
I wish I had dvr so I could see it again, but chances are it was going to good shooter.
by DitchThePlaybook on Nov 8, 2008 12:44 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
It also looked like Bass wasn't holding the ball with a strong grip, like he wasn't going to try and drive.
I have witnessed time and time again.
by srdmad on Nov 8, 2008 12:46 AM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Still thinking of Kidd's missed free throw
The game was lost in other ways even before that point, but if he’d only made it…
by Marie on Nov 8, 2008 12:38 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm off
I wish the game was on TXA 21 instead. Gina & Derek help soothe the pain of a bad loss.
by ptrck on Nov 8, 2008 12:40 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
No doubt,
Cheap early fouls got them in the penalty quick.

Here's hoping they can beat the freaking Clippers on Sunday afternoon
by Marie on Nov 8, 2008 12:43 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Fo reals.
Any time they can hand it to Baron Davis, it makes me happy.
