I can't stand Howard

he shoots every single time he gets the ball. The Mavs are better when he doesn’t play.

but lots of Jazz fans are. I just think Carlos has a fragile body that doesn’t heal quickly. But given his recent comments about opting out, coupled with the way he bailed on Cleveland… let’s just say there’s a reasonable doubt.

Harpring shoved Dirk

then Dirk nailed him with a fist to the face.

I can’t stand Harpring, but that’s exactly why he gets on the court: to piss off people that can’t control themselves. I don’t like it, though, even if the results are beneficial to the Jazz.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 9:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Most definitely

The refs always catch the retaliation…but they missed Harpring’s shove and Fesenko’s over the back

it's not BS

when a guy swings a closed fist at another guy and hits him in the face. Harpring should have been called for a foul or a technical. And there was a push-off on Fesenko’s part beforehand. But a closed fist to the face is not something you can argue with.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

by Shums on Dec 26, 2008 9:58 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Dirk's fist was a jerk reaction (if you will) from the elbow to the Harpring's arm

which was the ONLY intentional hit. When did Dirk ever hit a guy in the face with his fist? Oh and did it help that Harping really sell that shot…

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 10:01 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I don't believe it was intentional

I think you’re right, Dirk meant to elbow Harpring in the arm. But he closed his fist, and from the replays I saw, carried through to hit Harpring square on the nose. I don’t believe Dirk deliberately meant to hit him in the face. But that’s what ended up happening, from what I saw.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

It's like his hard foul on AK last year

That ended up in a suspension, though that was only a flagrant one call

Which is just unfortunate

Dirk will even be more popular now in Utah, I forecast.

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 10:05 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

nah, I don't dislike Dirk

or any of the Mavs, really. He just lets his temper get the best of him when he plays the Jazz. He’s not dirty or deliberate, it just happens.

Uh, do you think you could draw me like a ninja?

So I missed Dirk getting ejected.

From reading y’alls posts it must have been pretty intense. That aside, we always have trouble with the refs when we play utah. Hmm.

Now it's looking a bit hopeless

Waiting for the miracle ...

It’s hard to play against 8 players everytime down the court. Those refs are killing it … Harpring flopped a lot there, he reacted like he was shot by a sniper … 10 point, 4 min left … I don’t know …

Koufos with a career game

Hmm ...

The Jazz seem like the anti-mavs … Any Center (or PF turned Center) that enters this team plays well. Boozer is out, Millsap turn into Malone. Both are out, Koufos plays very well …

How come almost always don't win

when the game’s on the local TXA 21?

Last year, we almost always never won on TNT.

Howard

in the dog house.

Fire Todd Dodge. Seriously. 45 given up in the 1st quarter. Wow. But still we're better than Washington! Oh and, SUCK IT WESTERN KENTUCKY! 1-10 baby!

Yeah

He is playing the Gerald Green role now

by hugommorais on Dec 26, 2008 10:20 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah, even though he scored all of those points in the 3rd

And yet I don’t disagree with him being benched like that

Sure

He never plays well in the 4th …

by hugommorais on Dec 26, 2008 10:21 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

JJB is good and all

But i really think that Kidd must handle the ball like 80% of the time and Barea the other 20% … When JJ is on the floor, Kidd goes to the corner to shoot 3 pointers. The 2 times Kidd touched the ball he found guys open …

by hugommorais on Dec 26, 2008 10:19 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

If Dirk was there

We could have won this thing … The Mavs D was really good on the 4th … We just couldn’t shoot well … Even singleton took a 3 …

Is Dirk going to be suspended for the next game?

I wasn’t sure if it’s automatic or if the league has to review it

He better not be

Refs overreacted and that’s that.

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 10:28 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I don't think ...

That was a penalty 2 … The league will review it but that isn’t like last years blow he gave to Kirilenko … He’ll not be suspended

by hugommorais on Dec 26, 2008 10:29 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It was a flagrant 2

Since it’s an automatic ejection

Last year was a flagrant 1 and he didn’t get ejected, but after league review, it was upgraded to flagrant 2 and then he was suspended

What a travesty would it be

If Dirk gets unfairly suspended on top of being unjustly ejected

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 10:34 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

For sure ...

I hope the league review it and don’t suspend him and he goes angry to drop 50 on the clippers

This team is stilled owned by Mark Cuban and Stern will

do everything that he can to try and get Dirk suspended.

I have witnessed time and time again.

I'm pissed at this lost

First, on paper, we should have own.
Second, I hate that the Jazz can whack, hold, pull, flop without getting punished.
Third, Josh Howard sucks. (ship his ass out of here)
Fourth…that horrendous Kirilenko flop.
Fifth, Dirk gets ejected because the one ref wants in on the spotlight.

Otherwise, props to the Jazz for winning.

by ptrck on Dec 26, 2008 10:41 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I couldn't say it better ...

I just want to add that Harpring made it look like he was hit by a sniper on the play … Not that was a flop

We looked tired right from the beginning, though

It was going to be a tough game to win, after last night
