So you have to be on your best behavior. That really is work! I, for one, am trying not to goof around so much and actually get some work done, but I’m not doing a good job of it. Every day, I have a IE tab open for this blog only so I can keep up with everything. Today, I am wasting my time reading up on Mad Men, my current obsession, and trying to figure out how soon I can finish watching the second season.

Zone

I went over to Clips Nation and read what they had to say about last night. They noted the Clippers don’t handle the zone defense well at all and they were surprised that Carlisle didn’t have the Mavs play zone sooner. They also think that Dunleavy is a horrible coach who can’t draw up plays during timeouts which led to the air ball to end the game. All good points to keep in mind before we get to ahead of ourselves after the great win last night.

the only time Hollinger has really been down on the Mavs

was last year after the Kidd trade, and the way they exited from the playoffs, it certainly seemed like he was right. Historically, he’s been way ahead of the curve in his Maverick-praise.

Compared to loudmouth national media figures like Charles Barkley and Jeff Van Gundy he’s practically a raving Mavs fanatic.

well it's all relative I guess

I just remember during the 67 win season, he had the mavs behind the spurs in his power rankings even though the spurs were 8 games back. Of course, he was proven right after the playoffs I guess…

Was it justified? I’m aware that the team has been sputtering as of late, but I was surprised that he got canned.
