Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Anyway, I'm sure you'll say what you want, and say absolutely no, but a KIngs fan mentioned Carlisle wanting Brad Miller and I put this together.

Erick Dampier, Jose Juan Barea, Brandon Bass, Jerry Stackhouse and Antoine Wright

for

Brad Miller, John Salmons, Quincy Douby, Bobby Brown and Shelden Williams

I'm sure everyone around here will hate it, but lemme know whatcha think.

Hell NO

I wouldnt mind getting rid of damp, stack and antione wright but bass and barea are playing really well and could be the future of this organization.

Quincy Douby, Bobby Brown and Shelden Williams are all wastes of sperm. All are former first rounders with decent sized contracts….. So Hell NO on that trade!

Bobby Brown wasn't drafted

But wastes of sperm? That’s a bit harsh don’t you think?

The Mavs

actually value Dampier pretty highly. I think they have interest in Miller but do not see him as any kind of Damp replacement. The rest sort of feels like filler, and personally I think Mavs filler is more talented than the Kings filler.

Dallas would not make this trade.

Want to talk Stackhouse?!!!

Nope not a chance Wes

I just wanted to give you guys a chance to turn it down for yourselves on it’s own merits

I’m already having the argument that Barea/Bass is worth giving up Bobby Brown, and the rest is filler/expiring contracts for the obvious reasons.

I honestly don’t want Damp Wes, but at the same time, and by the same token I suppose, you have to have matching salaries, and Damp was the only guy I could see working from that end. Thanks for the feedback.

To be completely honest

I was noodling because someone on StR said they “saw” on ESPN, that Carlisle say he was interested in Brad Miller. But, I was like, why? So I came up with this. But even with that said, Stackhouse is not a guy who A) helps the Kings, or B) does anything but expire. If it was John Salmons for Jerry Stackhouse, that might be something to consider for the value of removing Salmons salary off the books for 09.

....

I’d be down to trade stackhouse for salmons straight up… I’d even willing to give up the rights to shan foster and cash consideration.

Salmons, although a ball hog, plays decent defense (slowed kobe really well in both there games against them), rebounds well, and would solve the gap we have at shooting guard.

That'd be something the Kings might consider at the trade deadline

i really like salmons

my first two targets for the mavs are gerald wallace and john salmons. but i do NOT want to give up bass and barea is playing well too. so take damp bass and barea out and we can have jerry stackhouse and rights to shan foster along with cash and mayb another player for john salmons

That won't work

There is no way Petrie won’t hold out for Bass if Salmons is involved in the trade.
