Mike Miller: Available?

Per Yahoo Sports...

----------------------------------------------
And what does it say of the Grizzlies? Well, it says that they're bleeding financial losses, desperate to strip payroll and make themselves more attractive for a potential buyer. They're shopping guard Mike Miller throughout the league too, sources say, and it's just a matter of time until they've stripped themselves to the core. Essentially, they're the Vancouver Grizzlies again.
----------------------------------------------

If this guy is available, THERE'S the guy Mark Cuban and Donnie Nelson need to be chasing after. Jason Kidd would be great, but he costs too much in the way of assets. Miller could likely be had for that fudged KVH contract and a 2009 draft pick. He fills the big SG hole for the Mavericks, and solves the need for another pure deep threat to spread things out offensively... Mike Miller makes this team the best team in the Western Conference. Go get him, now.

I agree
This would make it possible for JHO to play for SG. If the Mavs can get this guy w/out giving up a core player, it's a no brainer, no?

I like this...
I have always said that I thought we were fine at pg, but the spot that we were both the weakest and deepest at was the 2/3.  I mean other than howard and stack, we have rotated more players at that position than any other position in the past 3 years looking for an answer, and I still am not sold on the eddie jones project right now.  Hassell?  Maybe, but he's not an all-around player enough to spread the floor on offense.

My solution earlier in the year when ak-47 was bitchin up in utah was to make a deal for him, but with the Grizz basically giving away their players now, this deal with miller makes even more sense bc we can possibly give up two guys (like george and whoever else) for a solid sg/sf to START along side of j5, and then sign Cassell when he goes in for a buyout.

I know miller can shoot the 3 (at 43% a game, thats a HELL of a lot better than jones 32%), but how good is he at D?  Would he fit into the mold of avery's defensive mindset to be able to start over jones?    I havent followed miller enough to know how good he is on D.
