Dirk is Giddy

It sounds like Dirk couldn't be happier about his new teammate.

Nowitzki attended the news conference and smiled when Mavs owner Mark Cuban said he had been kept abreast of the trade and had approved it. Following practice, Nowitzki answered honestly what he believed the team was missing and why Kidd will bring it.

"With me playing with [Steve] Nash for so many years, some of the passes you just took for granted," Nowitzki said. "Over the last couple of years those looks just weren't there. This is going to be great to catch the ball when you're open in the right situation. [Kidd's] one of the best at doing that."

He looks like he's having fun out there again. He seemed re-energized the last two games before the break. If the mere possibility of playing alongside Kidd got him going, the fact that Kidd is now actually his teammate could work wonders.

Glad too see this team excited again...

I thought all along this team needed some sort of a trade just for this reason.

But I'm not drinking the kool-aid on this deal yet.

The jazz got krover and went 19-3 since. It was such an underrated deal, that no one is really talking about how that trade turned that team around. I wanna see who of the suns, lakers and us come up with results like this after these trades.
