Mavs Moves of the future

it looks like Magloire is the Mavs 1st priority and I don't see how we let him get away........now it looks like Cassel and Antoine Walker are going to get bought out.......Cassel might not be bad to back up Kidd....but Cuban has said he wants to add TWO big men to fill out the 15 man roster....so if we want to add Cassel or another scorer, i say we waive Juwan Howard...

best case scenario, we sign Magloire and PJ Brown, then Waive Juwan Howard and sign Sam Cassel....then if another SG/SF comes along that can really help us waive Jones and sign him......or just sign him instead of Cassel...

and who do you think could do a better job against Duncan, Magloire or Diop? and if we get PJ Brown Forget about it......Kidd, Magloire, Brown, Allen, Wright > Harris, Diop, Hassel.....um, easily.......i think we're the team to beat if we get both Magloire and Brown, not to mention if we drop Juwan for Cassel or another scorer

I think you're highly overrating a P.J. Brown that hasn't played all season.

I can't imagine they cut Juwan for him, don't really see the point.

i don't think im overrating him

and they wouldn't cut Juwan for him. Cuban said he wanted two big men to fill out the 15......

and he'd be our 3rd center and i think he defintaly can give us quality minutes in the playoffs.....not a lot of minutes just the ones he gives would be quality lol

you seriously don't think PJ Brown wouldn't help???

and i'd rather have Magloire, another scorer > Mag, PJ......but Cuban said he wants two big men and i think we need another guard, so i think Juwan is expendable to create the roster spot......

No PJ brown

why? First off, he's 38 and hasnt played in about a year. Who knows if he is in shape, and at 38 do you really want him?

So with no brown you have to look at kidd, magloire (assuming we get him) + 2 guys who wont see any PT this year vs Devin and Diop who have seen the big boys out west here for the past 3 years and have had proven success against duncan, parker and others.

I am not saying the kidd move isnt a good move for us, cuz where harris fell short, kidd will do things he couldnt. But the hole in the middle is what has us worried here. And frankly, Magloire who has been parked on a NJ bench all season playing behind a guy named Josh Boone all season, does not have the experience nor confidence against a guy like TD or shaq. Has anyone here even heard of Josh Boone before? The fact that he was playing 10 min a game for NJ, behind boone, and the fact that nobody here has really seem him play quality minutes since his all star game 2 YEARS AGO is what I'm worried about.

He very may well be our best bet, and at this point IS the best option, but I wonder if the Mavs FO perhaps an inside tip on other "bigs" in the league that might be released or bought out.

I know who Josh Boone is.

He started for that Uconn team that was supposed to win the championship , but was upset by George Mason in the elite game. He left after his junior year and I believe was a first round pick by the Nets, who also pick Marcus Williams, who started point guard for Uconn that year and I think he is left-handed, in the first round in the same draft. When Boone was at Uconn he was a horrible free throw shooter.

the answer is Diop. How can you seriously think Magloire would be better for us than Diop?

experience against the teams and players out west here alone puts him ahead of magloire... never mind comparing stats

Magloire has playoff and west experience

and could actually score....and was more polished...i mean this kid was one of the best up and coming centers in the league a year or two ago....because he got into the doghouse in New Jersey doesn't mean the kid forgot how to play....plus all we need him to do is back up Damp with quality minutes....
