JET in the lineup

Instead of Stack. Good luck to the guys tonight.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:08 PM CDT   0 recs

We need to be running

And in attack mode the whole game, not just for a half

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:10 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Great start

Now can we keep it up…? I sure as hell hope so

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:14 PM CDT   0 recs

Hornets

looking like the mavs have in this series

by Sky Hook on Apr 25, 2008 7:16 PM CDT   0 recs

Is Chris Paul really that strong?

im going to say that was a flop, just a guess

by Sky Hook on Apr 25, 2008 7:19 PM CDT   0 recs

Enough with all of this Josh/pot talk

Isn’t that old news anyway? The media are the ones making it a distraction, not the team or Josh.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:22 PM CDT   0 recs

No kidding

He said this stuff before the playoffs started. Nobody cared until ESPN picked it up.

by Wes Cox on Apr 25, 2008 7:23 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I agree it's overblown already

But he brought it up at a crappy time.

by Avery210 on Apr 25, 2008 7:40 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Geez

What happened to being in attack mode…it’s getting a bit sloppy on our end.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:24 PM CDT   0 recs

0 points in the paint

for NO in the first quarter. Good sign.

by mavic on Apr 25, 2008 7:39 PM CDT   0 recs

Come on

No ball movement with this lineup, no attacking the basket. They’re making Pargo look like an All Star out there.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:40 PM CDT   0 recs

wtf was that howard?

by Wes Cox on Apr 25, 2008 7:44 PM CDT   0 recs

the three?

the shot clock was at 1

by MeanMr.Mustard on Apr 25, 2008 7:44 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Vintage Josh!

For one possession

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:45 PM CDT   0 recs

We made no headway

With Paul on the bench.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:48 PM CDT   0 recs

I understand they're open

But I think they’re relying on the J too much again.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 7:50 PM CDT   0 recs

Agree

I’m already screaming at TV and we’re not even thru the first quarter

by Avery210 on Apr 25, 2008 7:50 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

They're being more aggressive here

Which is great to see, because the third quarter is usually when they fold.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 8:30 PM CDT   0 recs

I hope our guys

can make this young NO team loose its composure.

by caseyrebelde on Apr 25, 2008 8:39 PM CDT   0 recs

It'd be nice if we could make some free throws

We could stretch this to 15 by the 4th if we take advantage of being in the penalty this early

by MeanMr.Mustard on Apr 25, 2008 8:40 PM CDT   0 recs

Initial Impressions

The Hornies logo sucks the hind teet.

Lokks like they stole it from Hampton Inns.

Dirk is moving really well tonight...

Ankle looks like it’s holding strong. He’s really active defensively…

by N41D on Apr 25, 2008 8:52 PM CDT   0 recs

I agree

Terry’s doing a pretty good job on Paul as well.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 8:53 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Off topic

But what is that tall building with the green lights that they always show in the Dallas downtown (if it’s downtown) shots? I’ve always wondered about it.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 8:55 PM CDT   0 recs

Thanks, both of you

Downtown Orlando is so lame, we have no interesting buildings.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 8:59 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Cuban's Con-Tower

The Owner’s Lair.

Pargo

wow….

by Sky Hook on Apr 25, 2008 9:04 PM CDT   0 recs

Somebody forgot to tell him they left New Orleans

by Sky Hook on Apr 25, 2008 9:09 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

samaki walker...

what a joke that guy was

by MeanMr.Mustard on Apr 25, 2008 9:10 PM CDT   0 recs

I loved Erick Strickland though

Love seeing Bradley in old clips. What a joke that whole experiment was…

by Avery210 on Apr 25, 2008 9:11 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

This isn't relevant

but for some reason your comment reminded me of one of my favorite basketball jokes of all time…”Big Country” Brian Reeves!...or was it Cherokee Parks?

by caseyrebelde on Apr 25, 2008 9:15 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Cherokee Parks

Before being all tatted up or after? The answer is all three were a joke. :)

Diiiiiiiiiiirk!!

by Sky Hook on Apr 25, 2008 9:11 PM CDT   0 recs

Just got home...

skipping watching the tivo version of this… picking up at the beginning of the 4th…

by Toddy on Apr 25, 2008 9:11 PM CDT   0 recs

Can Dirk get a triple double?

He’s four assists away…

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:11 PM CDT   0 recs

I think so

Keep feeding Terry

by Avery210 on Apr 25, 2008 9:13 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yay, Devin!

I miss him too

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:17 PM CDT   0 recs

I wonder

if Josh and Devin like to smoke together

by caseyrebelde on Apr 25, 2008 9:18 PM CDT   0 recs

Seriously

I hate how they keep bringing this up. No one talks about Melo’s DUI and that’s worse! He wasn’t even punished for that, which bothers me to no end.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:19 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The TNT guys

Haven’t even said their piece yet. I’m already sick of the whole thing.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:26 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Stephan A

Melo is his boy… and he down played that like it was nothing. Tonight he went on and on about josh. I seriously dislike that guy so much.

by Toddy on Apr 25, 2008 10:00 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah

I don’t think this story is a problem for Josh, because if it is he will just go home and dump his problems in the ashtray

by caseyrebelde on Apr 25, 2008 9:20 PM CDT   0 recs

So glad Terry made that three

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Apr 25, 2008 9:25 PM CDT   0 recs

Yeah

Especially since the game was already over. Where was that in the earlier games?

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:31 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

exactly

Physicality in the course of a game is great. Extracurriculars in a sure-win are what makes the NBA look twice. It’s not 1995 anymore.

by MeanMr.Mustard on Apr 25, 2008 9:33 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Damp

wow I can’t believe it. He actually put effort into that shove. Too bad he doesn’t put effort into his game like that, or we might have a center.

by caseyrebelde on Apr 25, 2008 9:39 PM CDT   0 recs

damp

just bc he doesnt put up huge numbers for us every night, he still plays a huge part in our team. Just look at last years playoffs when avery didnt play him/he had that shoulder injury. He does a lot of little things that dont show up in box score. (screens, tip outs, defense on the primary oppenents big men).

He’s not dominate by any means, but the guy is just as important as any other starter (other than dirk) on this team if they wanna win.

by Toddy on Apr 25, 2008 9:58 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Ok. Good game

I’m going to root for Phx. Hate both teams but tired of my S.A. friends talking crap.

by Avery210 on Apr 25, 2008 9:39 PM CDT   0 recs

Great game, guys

More of a team effort this time around. I hope this carries over to Game 4. Paul and West won’t always have off nights.

by Marie on Apr 25, 2008 9:40 PM CDT   0 recs

This win lies with Avery

As critical as we are of him, I have to admit when he comes through for us. Line up change was great, putting dirty on chandler, and damp on west was great. No herpes and jones sightings tonight… I can live with 15 min between allen and george… It appears as though stacks struggles continues, wish he would come alive one game for us… but at least Avery is recognizing when he is sucking and is staying away from him. Again a 8 man rotation in the playoffs is key for us IMO. IF this type of coaching continues, avery may save his job after all… with a new offensive scheme next year as well.

I think we also got a lot of calls going our way this game… especially in the third. That definitely helped us win this one.
