Sorry this is late.. I am just starting the game on TiVo
BTW we signed Wright and Najera signed with the Nets (Thanks Marie!)
While I like the signing of Wright, it seems like we have quite a log-jam at this position of spare-part guys who are either really young or really old, offensive minded or defensive minded... I have a bad feeling we have been down this road a time or two before... and its not gonna be a smooth ride by any means.

I got home at 8:30 and the Lakers/Pistons game had just started…and that was supposed to tip off at 8.
He had a Damp-ish move
In which he didn’t finish at the rim at the first attempt, but got it to go the second time.
Maybe he's humbled by what happened last year
And will play better and be more committed to the game

and dallas is down 6-14… Green looks good, though a little out of control at times. Kinda reminds me of Mo Shots

He’s in Greece with the Puerto Rico team for the Olympic qualifying. That tournament starts on the 14th.

We don’t look like a team out there…looks like five guys who happen to wear the same clothes and be on the floor at the same time. We have no game plan.

I have always liked him, and thought he should have gotten a spot on the team last year… but no, we opted for herpes instead
Green being more aggressive

that he has to work on his offense every summer through the summer league
I hope Carlisle and the rest of the staff took a lot of notes from this game
Not enough ball movement, shoddy defense….what else? Too many jump shots, not attacking the basket enough…
I wonder what Ricks expectations this year are?
is it championship or bust? Or is it win a playoff series and thats a good season
That's a really good question
I personally think it’s the latter, perhaps deep in the playoffs like semis or conference finals. It’s his first year coaching the team and Kidd’s first full season with them, so expectations are probably high, but maybe not that high.
You know how Rick met with certain players privately
Did he ever meet with Damp or Terry or Stack? Does it mean anything if he didn’t meet with them?
I kind of have a soft spot for him
Not as a player, but as a person…I heard during an Olympics broadcast that he lost his mom, sister, and fiancee to a car accident and then a year later, his dad died of a heart attack, so I just feel bad for the guy

Rick Carlisle reminds me of Jim Carey thats about what i am getting out of this game

I don't mind a couple of good shooters
But I’d love to have some athletic guys who finish at the rim, like what Josh used to do. That’s what Green needs to do.

Rick would say he is looking for… I think we have enough “shooters” in josh, stack, JET, Dirk, Jones, etc…
Not one of those guys are guys who really take it to the basket.
I guess he missed the memo on that need of a Slasher.

but not much else, second half was better than first… but still has the same issues that we worried about. no defense, spotty shot, outta control at times, etc.
He kind of had a "chip on my shoulder" attitude as well
He can either use that as a motivator or let it overwhelm him and stink up his game

a nice game of “garbage time” we saw right there. Lets hope we see a different team out there tomorrow (is it tomorrow or sunday?) like with Pops back in the line up
Figured that
with Green..he should watch alot of Artest film…maybe some Pippen Film 8 hours a day until the beggining of the season

he’s 6-8 and listed at 200, but I doubt that.
I’d sacrifice a little bit of his vertical for some size to body up guys

and I just looked on espn at the live blogging thread and someone just said that the lakers got artest. Cant find anything though on it
