Finley to re-sign with Spurs
Good for him, good for us. Had we traded Stack and Jones, he might have been a good pick up, but seeing how we have yet to do anything this summer, signing him would have been a bad move with Stack and Jones still on the team.

Shame
I would’ve loved to see Fin back in Dallas, even if he did suck and couldn’t dunk anymore. But for the best, considering we didn’t move Stack or Jones.

yeah
if we had to have one old and washed up player on this team, I would have preferred it to have been Finely, but there is just no room for three guys like this.

Question
When its all said and done, is Finley’s #4 retired?? IMO, I think he is more deserving than Brad Davis ever was, and was just as important as Rolondo was. Based on that I think he’s tied with Ro for 2nd greatest Mav ever, right behind Dirk.

Yes
Definitely. Fin’s stuck by the hard times, kept playing hard even as Dirk’s star eclipsed his and I thought he was reasonably classy even after Mavs’ fans gave him a hard time during the playoffs. Why’d it have to be San Antonio though…?
