I like how you can see the one Mav fan in the crowd

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 7:54 PM CST reply actions

so

id say a 35-40% chance of winning this one

if Melo was healthy, that would be 15-20%

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 7:58 PM CST reply actions

Wow

I guess Carlisle liked what he saw in the last game

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:04 PM CST up reply actions

Terry starting again, I see

We need more points from our starting lineup

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:11 PM CST reply actions

Nope, Wright and Green

late change apparently.

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 8:12 PM CST up reply actions

Okay, thanks

They had Terry on the graphic in the Nuggets broadcast

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

Hello everyone ...

It’s a pleasure to suffer, ah … Watch the game with you people …

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 8:14 PM CST reply actions

Wow

Green tried to make a poster out of someone there

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:16 PM CST reply actions

Seriously?

Okay, I have the feed minimized and I’m sick, so I have an excuse… :)

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

No problems

it was very Green-ish

dirk really just sucks at defense,

hes my favorite player in the world but jesus christ.

Smell it, taste it.

by Tastypoopies on Jan 13, 2009 8:20 PM CST reply actions

I forgot that started tonight

I heard they’re showing less of those goofy auditions that people do so that they’ll get on TV

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:24 PM CST up reply actions

not the case

in the 30 minutes I watched.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 8:25 PM CST up reply actions

Damn

I hate those auditions

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:25 PM CST up reply actions

Typical dampier

getting abused by everybody

by bruce182 on Jan 13, 2009 8:25 PM CST reply actions

Damp is playing well, I have to say

Still unsure why Carlisle limits his minutes sometimes

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 8:29 PM CST reply actions

I'm with you ...

I did that in my NBA 2k9 … And the mavs are a beast …

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 8:39 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah man ...

By the way, I trade for Wallace too … If the mavs had that, we would be killing everybody now!! Maybe we could became GM :P

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions

The Mavs are beast

on NBA 2K9 because the bench can do something there. You can force Josh to drive to the rim!

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions

Man, I couldn't do that

I got tired of trying to go to the rim with him and see him missing … So I trade him and Terry to Atlanta for J-Smith …

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 8:42 PM CST up reply actions

Even Josh Smith

can shoot better than J-ho these days.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 8:39 PM CST up reply actions

Damp & Bass together

Can’t recall the last time I saw that

by ptrck on Jan 13, 2009 8:45 PM CST reply actions

I hate Anthony Carter's face

He looks like that annoying, friendless kid that nobody likes. Only with a beard.

by ptrck on Jan 13, 2009 8:48 PM CST reply actions

Haha

What is it with you and faces…first Amare, now this guy

McCloud

averaged 8.6 3PA’s a game in the 95/96 season for us!

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 9:18 PM CST up reply actions

And 'Toine

in his best year averaged 8 or so per game.

They could come up in the second half and chuck up 16 threes.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:19 PM CST up reply actions

We always

look so tired … and old … and undisciplined.

by rassoodocks on Jan 13, 2009 9:17 PM CST reply actions

Ah well

at least I have a fantasy baseball draft to dwell on.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:17 PM CST reply actions

Wow, already?

I’m in a pretty hardcore league but haven’t even started to think about it yet.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 9:19 PM CST up reply actions

Going to be a 12-team H2H

keeper league, with a minor league draft. I don’t really like offline, it takes waaaaay too long.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:19 PM CST up reply actions

I'm in the 7th season of a keeper league

12 teams, 30 man rosters plus a protected list for minor leaguers. No free agency so draft is all minor league.

Never won it and I have the 1st overall pick this year — ugh.

yeah seems early. All i know is any one on boston or yanks is going to do well

they have the best teams that money can buy, there pitching staffs are nuts

im not a boston or new york fan but

those teams added texiera, cc sbathia, brad penny, etc… its just nuts how in baseball teams can buy dynastys

by Tastypoopies on Jan 13, 2009 9:26 PM CST up reply actions

They're not dead-certs to win

The Rays will beast for years to come. They still have Tim Beckham and David Price as super-prospects.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:28 PM CST up reply actions

price is great

i like the team, i like crawford a lot but they lost baldelli, to the sox of all people

Smell it, taste it.

by Tastypoopies on Jan 13, 2009 9:29 PM CST up reply actions

I resent Crawford

he ruined one of my fantasy teams last season with his crappiness ;)

Man

Jazz-Knicks games in the 90s were rough…

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:38 PM CST reply actions

Man

I didn’t know Chauncey Billups was physically capable of turning the ball over.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 9:41 PM CST reply actions

That tells a lot about the team ...

We had a player that could go to the rim on the fast break … But we passed for a 3pt …

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 9:44 PM CST reply actions

Kidd needs to reset his floppy ...

Does he kept a backup? Because now he is not scoring and not having good assists.

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 9:46 PM CST reply actions

What sucks is that

we didn’t get back in the game due to our defense, but because denver has been missing shots.

by bruce182 on Jan 13, 2009 9:47 PM CST reply actions

How true

We’re relying on that instead of defense

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 9:48 PM CST up reply actions

Time Warner

told me that no other users were reporting problems and to call back if the feed hadnt gotten better by the fourth quarter…

what a joke.

by bbob on Jan 13, 2009 9:51 PM CST up reply actions

Just what I told ...

If Dirk goes off in the 3rd, and Terry comes alive in the 4th … we are in

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 9:50 PM CST up reply actions

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 10:13 PM CST up reply actions

Everything is clicking right now

I love Van Gundy; I think he’s a great coach. Nelson is having an All-Star year and Dwight is Dwight. Redick has discovered his shot too, and Lewis is playing great. The only thing I am unhappy about is the Pietrus signing. What has impressed me is their road record and record against West teams.

ummm

that was an obvious foul

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:36 PM CST reply actions

Offensive foul

Terry gets called for that all the time. Oh sweet irony.

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 10:36 PM CST reply actions

except

terry didnt hit his leg. terry hit billups in his side.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:36 PM CST up reply actions

THAT IS GD BULLSHIT

but what do you expect when you are a mavs fan… once again.. bent over and fucked by a ref.. billups fucking kicks jet and he gets the fucking call… this is a stupid ass league.. soccer is mroe of a sport

replay

watch it. terry did not hit billups leg. he hit bilups body.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:38 PM CST reply actions

Billups led with his leg

the rest is moot.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 10:40 PM CST up reply actions

Foul should have been on Billups, simple as that

I don’t give a damn about not having timeouts. That call was just WRONG.

by ptrck on Jan 13, 2009 10:38 PM CST reply actions

no it wasnt

watch the replay

if terry had hit billups in the legs, i would agree with you. terry’s body ran into billups’ body.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:39 PM CST up reply actions

Right

like players bodies never make non-foul body contact at all. sheesh

Billups threw his leg out. That’s an automatic offensive foul.

by ptrck on Jan 13, 2009 10:41 PM CST up reply actions

ummm

its a foul if it actually keeps the defender from contesting the shot

terry still hit billups in his side

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:42 PM CST up reply actions

I just watched it again

in slo-mo. He absolutely hit Billups leg first.

www.mavsmoneyball.com

by Wes Cox on Jan 13, 2009 10:41 PM CST up reply actions

and

he still followed through and hit billups body. if the leg wasnt there, terry would have just hit him harder.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:42 PM CST up reply actions

Well,

then Billups had no need to commit an offensive foul by using his leg — but he did.

reasons for loss

- no timeout
- out of the last 4 possessions, dirk only got it once (and scored)

bad coaching/game management

Refs should never

decide a game. They play it out.

Good point.

Fact is in any NBA game, there should be no foul calls end-game unless some guy gets completely killed (i.e. raked by 2+ guys).

honestly

green looked lost out there for the majority of this game. i cant see why carlisle doesnt trust him.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:48 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah, right ...

But I mean, George sucks a lot … I really can’t see the defense that he plays … Wright is fine … But Green at least is an explosion waiting to happen.

by hugommorais on Jan 13, 2009 10:49 PM CST up reply actions

just tells us

we arent that good if u have to pick between those 3

i mean wright couldnt even get playing time in NJ and now we are depending on him to hit game winners.

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:50 PM CST up reply actions

carlisle

has been short of time outs this whole year

never had that problem with avery or don

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:49 PM CST up reply actions

I noticed that too

There have been times when he burns one just to make substitutions since he failed to do it during a dead ball

by Marie on Jan 13, 2009 10:51 PM CST up reply actions

replay

after looking at it again, its a 50/50 call

terry still sorta ran into him and not just into the leg

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:45 PM CST reply actions

Either way

It’s a total bailout call. Billups was running out of options, appears to be fouled, and they call it. This one game I believe we really deserved to win and of course we lose it.

by ptrck on Jan 13, 2009 10:47 PM CST up reply actions

Amazing

I thought it was an unwritten code in sports that at the end of a very, very close game, refs/umpires do not call the 50/50 calls, and let both teams play it out.

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 10:50 PM CST up reply actions

these refs dont know the code

neither do the refs that called 2 fuckng penalties agaisnt the colts saving chargers drives in overtime…. FUCK i knew i shouldnt have turned this on… i was calm 15 mins ago!

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 10:53 PM CST up reply actions

imagine this team

with devin harris and roger mason jr at the starting guards

i still think we are competing with the lakers, hornets, spurs, etc

by kumizi on Jan 13, 2009 10:48 PM CST reply actions

Well, the Knicks beat them

And if they can beat the Hornets, I don’t know…but then again, we struggled against NY both times

REFEREES ARE FUCKING STUPID

i am fed up with referees taking games into their hands, fucking up… yet there are no consequences…

refs who suck and blow calls in the reg season of the NFL STILL ref playoff games… ed hochuli blew a game.. .he gav ea game to denver that SD had won.. he BLEW it.. yet he was reffing in the playoffs?!?! PLAYOFFFSS!!?!?!

and this guy who blew it tonight in the most crucial part of the game.. nothing will happen to him.. but cuban wil prob get fined, and carlisle or dirk if they say anything.. they will get fined.. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE… THAT POS ref better hope leonard little isnt driving hom eon the same road as him… son of a bitch man

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 10:56 PM CST up reply actions

by jonthefon on Jan 13, 2009 10:58 PM CST up reply actions

negativity is the way to go… though my theory is that is will prepare me for the worst…i am still pissed…. but refs bending us over kind of throw that out of wack…
