Terry training with the Iceman

From a Jason Terry Q&A on the Weekend Dime:

Q: You're off to the best start of your career and I heard recently that you worked out over the summer with George Gervin. How did that come about?

A: He started training me in 2002 and then I went back to him this summer. We played golf and trained three times a day. The thing about it is, once you've been in the league for 10 years, you know how to shoot. But just being with a guy that's a Hall of Famer and him just building you up mentally, I think that does more than all the shooting.

Some interesting stuff in there... Talks about working on his mid-range pull up as opposed to 3's.

I wish Marc Stein still wrote for the DMN. His stuff beats Sefko and David Moore any day.

Good read, thanks for sharing

And great that Terry still is eager to learn new things at 30+

terry

right now, i think he should be a borderline all star this year with the down years nash and deron williams are having

tmac and kobe are going to start

after that,

roy
paul
billups

who else can you think of thats more deserving than terry?

by kumizi on Jan 5, 2009 6:09 AM CST reply actions   0 recs

deserving

doesn’t matter in this case, fans vote the starters…. so forget about that one right now.
and for the reserves they will probably have a hard choice [to make] to get dirk in..

melo
amare
duncan
artest might pass him, too (in votes)

and for the guards..

kobe tmac roy paul billups parker ginobili kidd, williams and nash might get in by their pure reputation edge [amongst coaches]

Yeah

but coaches pick the reserves. The way things are going, no way Artest gets in ahead of Dirk.

he will be injured by that time anyways...

but i just can’t see the coaches select two players from the mavs.

And no way T-Mac deserves to be on that team!

My initial thought

Why is Jason Terry training with Chuck Liddell?

"My mother always taught me that if the only thing you have to say is,
‘(Expletive) Dave Samson,’ then don’t say anything at all.
So I’m not going to say anything at all.
Is my mother the greatest or what?"
