Monday Afternoon links and stuff
Not much out there today. Another game at Cleveland tomorrow, so there's that. Lebron/Shaq/Mo should be playing so that should be fun.
Sefko writes about the amazing Kris Humphries. Carlisle sees him as a max energy/effort guy.
You got guys who can shoot real well. You got guys who can penetrate. And then you got guys who are going to have to dive on the floor, rebound, bring a little extra that sometimes guys who play a lot more minutes have a tough time doing night in and night out.
In that same article, Marion is hoping to return Friday against the Rockets and Tim Thomas is still about a month to a month and a half away.
Carlisle was upset at Humphries after a "letdown" during the last game.
There was one time he didn't run back after a turnover, which surprised me. He's got to be a dirty-work guy for us. I love his skills and I think his game is efficient, but there can never be a letdown like that.
Dirk is working on a hook shot!
I work on it all the time. To use it in a game-time situation, it's something different. Now it's preseason, a good time to swing one. But I don't know if it's ready.
I never understood why players don't use that more. Kareem was unstoppable with it. Of course, it's not flashy and you won't make sportscenter with a hookshot like you would a dunk, so maybe that's why.
Finally, the Lebron "crab dribble" is legal now.
This is stupid. It is traveling and should be a foul, no matter who does it. Of course with the star treatment in the NBA, this shouldn't come as a surprise. You have to please the King.

Really encouraged by Humphries.
He’s the “replacement Bass”?
Remember to retire Fin's number, Mark.

one of many
I think Singleton will be the replacement Bass. But with such a vast amount of options at the 3/4/5 it will be spread out.

That's how he's looking like to me
He hustles, has the mid-range jumper, grabs boards…and the ball doesn’t seem to squirt out of his hands so much.

Glad you're doing this
Thanks. Nice to have someone put some effort into some posts around here.
