I would like to take a few moments of your time to explain some things to all of you so that everyone completely understands what is going on here at Mavs Moneyball.
First and foremost this site is still under the full control of Mr. Wes Cox and SB Nation! I was simply asked to come on and contribute as much as I could, and I have done that. Now many of you have taken a very nasty approach to this, and well that is your right!
To be quite honest with you though I am not the one that your anger and displeasure should be with. Wes Cox is an exceptional writer and has done a wonderful job with this site, but if you want to be upset with where things are be mad at him!
Secondly, I had a planned vacation scheduled for last week long before I ever accepted becoming a writer here on this site. No I did not tell you guys that I would not be here! However I did tell Mr. Wes Cox and the powers that be at SB Nation in plenty of time for them to make other arrangements. No other arrangements were made and therefore no one posted anything last week!
I have the time to post on this site and have done so. Some of you have liked what I posted and some of you have not, thats the way it goes! I really think though if you guys will actually give me a chance we can get this thing rolling again, but if you are not willing to do that then well I do not know what to do.
I have not consulted with anyone about this but I have an idea and well... since I am on my own here I am going to run with it!
If any of you are interested in becoming a contributor to this site send me an email. I am going to accept emails on this position until Friday at midnight. Once you have emailed me and requested to be put on the list of possible candidates, I will then send each of the candidates a topic to write on. The candidates will write a fan post on that topic. Once all the posts are up then we will poll the readers of Mavs Moneyball and the winner will be offered a position with the site. Does this sound good?
The applicants will need to be able to post at a minimum of 3 posts per week.

Contributors are definitely needed
It’s absurd to expect someone with a full-time job to blog on a daily basis. Lonestarball is freakish in it’s contributions.
That being said, it was a bit frustrating to log on for 5 days and not see a new post.
THAT being said, let’s get some writers!!

a defense of my work. I was trying to inform everybody about what exactly the circumstances were about me coming on board. It is just getting very old reading everyday how this person and that person miss Wes and how I suck, and how I do not have time for this site, and how dare I take a vacation. So I thought I would just clear the air and also find out who actually had the balls to stand behind their writing.

I appreciate all efforts to get something going here, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say it’s been incredibly frustrating lately. Forgive us for not having a clue why you posted consistently for a week then stopped for a week.

Sans Robert Griffin… How’s it feel knowing after the excitement last year stirred up you might polish off this year without another win?
Baylor @ Texas A&M might be the most unintriguing game imaginable between BCS teams coming off Griffin’s injury and the disaster in Manhattan on Saturday… Yucky…
And the sad thing… Mike Sherman ain’t going anywhere regardless of how this season end… I’m gonna break into tears just thinking about Kevin Sumlin or Charlie Strong, guys with A&M ties, taking other jobs in February…

i reverted to old baylor fan and stopped caring when we lost, and really stopped even paying attention because there is no reason for me to get angry when there is nothing we can do… ill be back next year.. but its still too hard to take
still think we can beat aggie this year… but it will be an awful game
