While I would love to write an in depth post on last nights game, well... it would be just way to damn boring. So figured I would just drop some links down for everyone.

If they can't get rid of williams (preferred via trade)

I am not so concerned with
the “size” issue. No matter who they keep or cut or trade they do not and will not have a big dominant force in the middle. This team is going to have to play and compete with their quickness, and agility.

which is why Gooden is perfect
for Kidd, Dirk, etc. He can run better than most posts and really hit the fast breaks taking advantage of Kidd’s passing; and he can score down low better than any C we’ve had in uniform that I can remember – even as an undersized C. Defense is questionable but if he gives up 10 points per game to the opposing C and drops 14 a game, and Damp scored 6 per game but gave up 8 per game, that’s still a “win”

a bit flawed
damp didn’t take shots, gooden does. He’d need to shoot over 50%fg to be effective enough, which i doubt.
and against the teams that matter, gooden will not just give up 10 points..

Gooden should shoot around 50%
becuase in this offense he should only be taking high percentage shots. He should never have more than 10-12 FGA a game. 6-9 from the field is what i want to see from Gooden. If you start to see 6-15’s, then were in trouble

why over 50%?
first, he’s a 47% career shooter, and he’s been a 49% or higher shooter 4 times in his career. he CAN do it. second, as mentioned below, he’s never had Jason Kidd lobbing them in for him

and it has something to do with gooden taking half his shots as jumpers, leading to a meddlesome eFG%

they're another year and a C away
but they’re looking promising. Westbrook, Green, Durant, Harden all look like they could be a very solid team. they just don’t have much at C

Isn't the upcoming class reasonably stocked with Cs?
Plus I’d say Krstic and Collison aren’t that bad, they’re probably about average if everything turns out okay.
One more season and I’d think they’re going to become an incredible beast.
