The Oklahoma City Thunder have acquired center Tyson Chandler from New Orleans in a deal that sends veterans Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox to the Hornets.

I really don't get this deal for the Hornets
Yeah, it appears they want to save money. But man, what a tough sell to the fans. Total give up trade I think. Helps the mavs in terms of playoff seeding I would think.

freaking alley-oops from Paul to Chandler.
On paper it makes the Thunder look great for the future, Westbrook, Durant, Green, Collison, Chandler with a lottery pick coming. Put Griffin or Monroe or Clark at PF and Collison as a useful backup at both 4 and 5 and OKC look set.

They're going to get a gazillion pieces if they pick well
I said above that Collison would be a pretty darn good producer off the bench when they pick Griffin. That’s one of their five picks. Their other four could be used to pick anyone they want.
I wonder how they’ll be able to keep Durant from bailing out in 2011 though.

"Fun" and "Failure" both start out the same way.
Oh well ...
If the Cavs get Jamison for Wally Zohujhsdajhal we can already stop the season and give the rings to them.
And the Rockets don’t get any better with Carter in place of Artest, Landry and Battier. For me, they get a lot worse. Now they only need to trade TMac for Marbury and start rebuilding. They are known as a defensive team and all that, if you add Carter and take away 2 good players from the rotation with Artest you are in big trouble. Let’s hope that thing goes on. That will be one less team to compete on the west. What you think?
