I feel so bad for him and his horrible judgment

until i hear what he would like to say to this situation.

But someone like him who’s in the public eye, wow…and he’s always been so notoriously private about his life, which has now exploded all over the media. He’s obviously in a tough place right now and on top of that, there’s a series that we’re trying to win/make more competitive…how can someone even focus or know what to focus on?

“Well, I do have a girlfriend. We live together. She is shy, very low key, doesn’t need all the hype. Just like me.”

Dirk made a brief statement after today’s practice regarding the woman arrested at his house yesterday.
“It’s pretty obvious that I’m going through a tough time in my personal life right now,” Dirk said. “Like I always have, I want to kind of keep my private life private. I really am not at the stage where I can talk about it yet and feel comfortable talking about it. I’m more than happy to answer basketball questions, but I think at this point, I just can’t talk about it.”
For the next seven minutes, Dirk answered questions about the series against Denver. He downplayed concerns about whether the drama in his personal life would be a distraction.
“I’m a warrior,” Dirk said. “I’ll be ready to play.”
Dirk’s session with the media horde ended abruptly when WFAA Ch. 8’s Brett Shipp attempted to ask about claims by Cristal Taylor, the 37-year-old woman arrested, that she is engaged to Dirk and pregnant with his child.
“I’m not commenting on that,” Dirk said repeatedly.

Ok, whatever. Sounds professional enough to play Basketball.
If Dirk plays below-great the next game(s), everyone will hack him.
But it sure gives another nice excuse for Dallas to lose.

Wife, kids?
“When I was growing up, I always said I don’t want to marry before I’m 30. I’m still on track.
“I always leave the future open, but obviously I don’t want to be a 40- or 45-year-old [new] dad, so I’m sure in the next five or six years, something’s going to happen.”
Private life is private
So why didn’t he mention his father’s surgery last spring? Last week, The News arranged for a follow-up interview to ask him.
Nowitzki’s affability disappeared. Clearly, he was disappointed.
“Let’s not even write about it,” he said.
It was pointed out that a couple of people in his inner circle had already discussed it, saying that Dirk had arranged to have Jörg brought here to get the best care.
Silke said she believes the surgery occurred on April 30, which would have been between Games 4 and 5 of the Golden State series.
But Dirk said his parents attended the 118-112 Game 5 win in Dallas, when he scored 12 points during a 15-0 run to close the game. All he would say about the surgery was that it occurred while the team was in Oakland for the series-ending Game 6, with Dirk phoning back for updates. And that the organization was well aware of the situation.
“We all go through stuff in our lives,” he said. "But obviously people pay a lot of money to see us play that night. They don’t care what’s going on in your life. They want to see you perform. We understand that.
“That’s why personal stuff is private and once you step on the court, it’s secondary and we’ve got to learn how to play through stuff.”
Had he or someone in his inner circle said something last spring, might the media and fan criticism of him been less harsh?
“That’s all right,” he said. “I’ve got big shoulders.”

and he’d pick up any hot girl he wanted. Nice decision-making Dirk.

Why did he wait so long to hire a private investigator? If I’m a star basketball and are thinking about getting married to someone I would hire a private investigator and wait to see what his/her findings and then make my decision.

My view of the NBA lifestyle is shattered to pieces. Poor Dirk.
