Josh Howard Update
The status of Josh Howard's ankle has sort of been lost in the Dirk drama, but Tim MachMahon has a tiny update on the DMN blog.
He needs surgery on his left ankle after the season. His right ankle hurts worse right now.
Howard rode the exercise bike some today, but he didn't participate in practice. The Mavs have their fingers crossed that he'll be able to play Saturday.
Not really great news that he hasn't practiced, but if I had to bet I would think we see him start again on Saturday. And hopfully he can go for longer than six minutes...
UPDATE: So almost right after I posted this, Mike Fisher has the news that Josh Howard has said he will play on Saturday.

I just have to wonder if Howard should even play ...
If he re-injures himself early again or is just not able to move properly I see him being a detriment on the floor. Although for Dallas these games are obviously crucial and you want your best guys out there no matter what.
I just don’t think he’ll be much of a factor on two bad wheels and that’s a shame.

I can't believe....
I share the same first and last name as Mav’s/Cowboys/Rangers fan. Rockets/Texans/Astros fan here.
Well, good luck to your Mavs in the playoffs. I hate what is happening to Dirk…I have always liked that guy. Come by The Dreamshake in SB Nation and talk some trash sometime. Later man.
I play real sports...Not try to be the best at exercising.
I'm sure you meant just your six letter name :)
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
yeah he better play.

I want to see some Gerald Green action.

Green can score, Wright does not.
We’re not stopping Denver when they have the ball, so we have to find more scoring somewhere.
