Spurs pick up Jefferson
Breaking news...
The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to trade Richard Jefferson to the San Antonio Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto a Bucks source told ESPN.com. The two teams have agreed to the deal in principle. A trade call to make the deal official is coming later Tuesday.
The Spurs really got another scoring threat and help when Manu breaks his toe and didn't give up a whole lot. Trying to think of a word to express my opinion on this trade, but all I can come up with is..
...fuck.

No bueno.
Bowen sucks. Thomas sucks. Oberto sucks. Jefferson does not.
Does Zach Phillips have to choke a bitch to get to Frisco?

the Spurs will be even better.

The bad part is that the Bucks are gonna cut Bowen and he'll head straight back to SA — just you watch...
Those shits are the beneficiaries of a give-away.

Maybe it will motivate Cuban...
To actually bring in players that will elevate our game. That could be wishful thinking, but we’ll see.

This is a major bummer
Donnie/Cubes better be working something up because they are about to get left way behind.

Why am I not phased? (although I know I should be)
timbo is right on, expect Bowen (maybe Thomas too?) to come back to the Spurs

what a bunch of crap. why isn't dallas in on a trade like this? sigh.
I mean, I guess it would just be a guy who you know, grabs bananas and runs. Or, um, a banana that grabs things. I don’t know. Why would a banana grab another banana? I mean, those are the kind of questions I don’t want to answer.

I'd venture to guess they are in some magnitude...
But not for a guy like Richard Jefferson…

The only instantly waivable deal is Stackhouse

Crap, I was happy Bowen would be gone
He isn’t much of offense but he is pretty damn annoying on defense, so they keep him and get Jefferson, well right now I’m not very excited but hopefully in a few days ( and some nice improvements) I’ll be happy again.

I have my fingers crossed
but now it just feels like we’ve been lapped again by the Spurs. They’ve been to highs and lows this past decade but have 4 championships to show for. All we have to show for is ’06

Doesn't sound like Bowen expects to come back to San Antonio
I never thought that so many good things could happen after 30 years of age. Boy was I wrong! I’ve been able to be part of a great city and community. I’ve been able to take action in helping those less fortunate, partner up with many great companies, start programs aimed at helping our youth, and many other wonderful things. By me and my family being here, all these wonderful things have taken place in our lives, and we truly appreciate it San Antonio. … This is where my family and I reside, there are more pressing things taken place in our world, so please just smile and remember that each and everyone of you played a vital role in the family man that I’ve become.

Oberto went to Detroit for Amir Johnson, who then went to the Bucks

"Daryl (Morey, the Rockets general manager) and I were talking this morning. We both discussed how great Tracy is in the playoffs. There's very few people who have the ability to step up their games in the playoffs and he does. So we're not looking to run away from Tracy." - Houston Rockets Owner, Leslie Alexander
