Yao's career in jeopardy?

“It sounds like he’s missing most of next season, if not the entire 82 games,” one league executive who has had recent discussions with the Houston front office told Yahoo! Sports. “That’s all that [the Rockets] will concede quietly, but they know it’s probably much worse.”

The Rockets and Yao’s reps are frightened over his future, and the concern is the most base of all: Does Yao Ming ever play again?

I know they are a rival and all that but this would suck. Only so much grind you can put on a 7'6 frame before it gives out. I hope this is not true.

"Daryl (Morey, the Rockets general manager) and I were talking this morning. We both discussed how great Tracy is in the playoffs. There's very few people who have the ability to step up their games in the playoffs and he does. So we're not looking to run away from Tracy." - Houston Rockets Owner, Leslie Alexander

muhahahaha WTF?!?!

Rockets fans always complain about T-Mac being hurt and they should trade him.

Why not Yao?

S-St. Louis, R-Rams, D-Dallas, M-Mavericks, A-Arizona, D-Diamondbacks.

goodness

sucks for Yao and H-town. I won’t shed any tears.

So does that make it less likely Artest re-signs with them? And if he doesn’t, who is looking like his suitors?

double Edged sword

Good for Mavs…sucks for the rivalry

never saw them as a rival for some reason.

I mean, I guess it would just be a guy who you know, grabs bananas and runs. Or, um, a banana that grabs things. I don’t know. Why would a banana grab another banana? I mean, those are the kind of questions I don’t want to answer.

It always sucks

to see a guy go down like this. But unfortunately, that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Ha!

This is why you’re awesome

My optic presentation sizzles the retina
How far must you go to gain respect? Um...
Well, it's kind of simple, just remain your own
Or you'll be crazy, sad and alone

feel sorry for yao but I hate the rockets

Now they can’t trade him, at least for anything worth something. Looks like his national team worked him too hard, and now he’ll never play for them again.

is it bad that when I read this I thought

why can’t these things happen in LA…

It's going to be a shame if his career is over.

Still, he could make a career acting. This ad was awesome:
