D-George staying with Mavs
The agent for Devean George said this morning that the 6-8 swingman has exercised his player option to remain with the Mavericks for next season.
That means George will be under contract for 2009-10 for $1.6 million.

How far must you go to gain respect? Um...
Well, it's kind of simple, just remain your own
Or you'll be crazy, sad and alone
GTFO George.

Might as well just trade him for whatever you can get
a 2nd rounder?

haha. i needed that.
I mean, I guess it would just be a guy who you know, grabs bananas and runs. Or, um, a banana that grabs things. I don’t know. Why would a banana grab another banana? I mean, those are the kind of questions I don’t want to answer.
That was a brilliant plan by Donnie Nelson, to bring back an over the hill player and give him a player option for another year
have we heard a reason why?

off memory
The first time they signed him it was because they wanted a veteran on the team who had won a championship. One year deal.
The second time was just another one year deal. Avery liked him, and he didn’t totally suck that first year.
The third time they signed him essentially because they needed to fill the roster and could keep him without using any of their exceptions. No idea why they gave him a player option for a second year though.

yes! and another spot on the bench is firmly warmed for another season.

Your boy Carroll can't warm the bench on his own :)

no one sits on the bench with the kind of ferocity that carroll does.

Free Agency Starts In
20 Minutes who is the game changer !!!!!!!!!!!
All warfare is based on deception.
the best that can happen
That cuban realizes that donnie nelson sucks as a gm and fires him. This should be his last year if he fux up the roster again. We have really good trading chips for this year so lets hope for the best.Rasheed can really help for two more years with kidd. Resign B Bass and make a move for andy varejao. Resign singleton and trade jhoward for a real shooting guard cause singleton has improved and can play the 3 spot. We just need players that are willing to give their all in the court and have a good team mentality. Thats why we have to get rid of jhoward. Shane battier is good team player we need guys like that. Give some trade ideas for poor ol donnie cause he sux big time.
how can Singleton play the 3? as a starter??

maybe he was re-signed so he can be another trade asset?
Stack + George equals, what, close to $9M in salary? That right?
