Odom No / Boozer No So whos the Mystery Man ?

Marc Stein thinks that Samuel Dalambert is a more realistic option for the Mavs but the Mavs will probably stand pact.

"Philadelphia's ever-available Samuel Dalembert would appear to make more sense for the Mavs, given his shot-blocking ability and mobility, as they search for a center to fill the void created by Orlando's decision to match Dallas' five-year, $34 million offer sheet to Marcin Gortat. "

I dont really know what to think about Dalembert 6 points 8 boards 1 blocked shot. vs Dampiers 6 points 6 boards doesnt really seem much like an upgrade

Whats do you guys think?

Delambert can play a bit...

But he’s a legit center, who hasn’t missed a game in three years, with a contract that can be moved in 2011, possibly in conjunction with Terry. Still nothing to get stirred up over. I wouldn’t get too caught up in any of the names being thrown around right now. Dallas’ best trade chip is still the Greg Buckner contract, and that can’t be moved until September.

Kaman or Camby from the Clippers are still the most likely targets, and with them, Dallas might be best served by waiting. Donald Sterling has delusions of contending right now, and a little time to think about paying one of those guys big money to come off the bench for what is realistically a 35-40 win team will probably make him willing to deal.

I think if you put two of my best seasons together it wouldn't come up with the numbers he's going to have at the end of the season. -Troy Aikman on Tony Romo

Durant would be an RFA and a Base Year Player in 2011, meaning that there's little chance he would leave...

Heh, I was just kidding.

Just like that entire site is meant to be a good-natured joke.

OKC would be crazy to let Durant go considering what they currently have.

exactly

like Kobe, Roy, Lebron, and Wade, the Thunder will do everything they can to keep Durant because he will bring fans into the arena.

This sucks....

Apparently, Marquis Daniels is signing w/ Boston for the BAE & C.J. Watson is going to Orlando. That stinks b/c those were 2 players I would have loved to end up in Dallas. I still like Von Wafer & Chris Wilcox but I doubt we’ll land either of those guys either. For the most part, I like the moves that the Mavs have made so far but why just stop there when you could shore up the bench a little w/ some of these decent FAs who are going for the BAE? We still have the Buckshot & I’m anxious to see what we get for that but I’m getting tired of all the talent going to 3 or 4 teams only!

I don't see any real need for those guys...

Josh, Terry, and Ross are playing the 2. Kidd, JJB, and RoBo are playing the point. Where would you even find minutes for Quis or Watson? The only reason to go after either of them is if you’re planning to trade Howard or Terry, which the Mavs clearly aren’t (their trade value will only increase with time, as their contracts run out), or if you don’t think that Josh can handle the 2, which I’m pretty confident he can.

Dallas has a clear need at center, which is why they wanted Gortat. They don’t have a clear need for any of the other current free agents, which is why you aren’t hearing much about them. Unless a too-tempting-to-pass-up deal (such as for Howard-for-Okafor) falls into their laps, they’re most likely going to wait until September, when Buckner can be packaged with other players, and go looking for a center. Dalembert’s an option, as is either Camby or Kaman in LA, and potentially Chandler, depending on how desperate NO is to reduce payroll.

I like Dalembert as well

Athletic Center than can catch, well at least better than Damp. No to Camby, he hunts for shots way to much and he would be way down the pecking order, right now for Center we don’t need a guy that will score 20 we need a guy who can get a double/double any given night and that can guard Nene/Gasol athletic types
