Game Thread: Dallas (15-4) @ Sacramento (4-13)

The Dallas Mavericks hope to extend their winning streak to 9 games with a victory against the Sacramento Kings in Arco Arena.  The Mavericks hope to continue on their road warrior ways as they have the league's second best road record at 7-1.  Late-night basketball on the West Coast, you've got to love it.

Series Recap: Dallas swept the season series with the Kings in 2009-10 and has won six straight games against Sacramento.  The Mavericks have won 14 of the last 16 meetings with the Kings (including 20 of the last 25 match-ups).  The Mavs have won five of the last seven games in Sacramento. 

Dirk Nowitzki averaged 28.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists against the Kings last season and Jason Kidd averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 10.8 assists against Sacramento in the 2009-10 season
series.

Dallas has played well defensively, allowing its last five opponents to average 89.4 points on 39.9 percent shooting. The Mavericks gave up their fewest points of the season Friday against a Utah club that averaged 104.6 points during its winning streak.

The Mavericks have averaged 111.8 points on 50.7-percent shooting during a six-game winning streak over the Kings (4-13), who will try to avoid a season-high seventh consecutive loss.
