You guys are so fortunate to have Haywood
And the real payoff will come at playoff time. Haywood is one of the few centers who can post up virtually anyone, one-on-one all game long, without needing help. He has great success against people like Dwight Howard. I’ll miss him.
I would like to retake our number 2 spot in the west

I don’t see any other contenders picking him up. He’d have to wait 30 days before he could play, but I think Najera takes the backup minutes til then.

wade went out after about 9 minutes tonight due to a calf injury, and the mavs would “woo” ilgauskas after a buyout (which i don’t think would matter) both stories are on espn.com, and i’m too lazy to link to them.

It feels so good to have a center who doesn't suck.
Save for maybe Lafrentz, not my favorite blocker, but he could hit a 3 every now and then, weird (for a center) but cool.

but actually, acording to fisher and lord, the mavs have a payroll of 5 mil less after all the trades … correct me if i’m wrong … improving the team like that and being financially responsible it’s great

i'd go with ilgauskas over thomas, if given the choice. he's the backup, and neither guys are particularly known for their defense.
i don’t know if it is a relevant stat, but ilgauskas has a smaller PER difference against the opposing center than thomas does. take that for what it’s worth.
