I don’t like rap anymore and love the old school R&B sound that Mayer Hawthorne and Aloe Blacc are bringing back.
I’m into a lot of indie stuff, however…
I guess indie and alt rock
make up the majority of my music collection.
I’ve mentioned Weezer before, but very solid on Wilco, Spoon, the Strokes (fine, just their first two albums), Pavement, and so on…

Julian Casablancas’ solo work was all right. But I’m pretty certain they’re never releasing anything that’ll get to the level of “Is This It” ever again…just like Weezer with Pinkerton…and Interpol with TOTBL…and Bloc Party with Silent Alarm…and so on.

But I agree with what you said. Our Love To Admire took a while to grow on me and I barely listen to Bloc Party now.
I liked the Blue Album better
but Pinkerton was at least its equal. I actually enjoyed both Green and Maladroit and I kinda like parts of Raditude…only after coming to the conclusion they weren’t making anything awesome ever again.

As for new music, I am really enjoying Future Trends, the new Hot Chip, and Surfer Blood. I just got the new album by The Knife and I haven’t listened to it yet, and I have a lot more that I need to check out (Sleigh Bells, Crocodiles, and The xx among others).
