a trade at this point is an overreaction. i'm not even convinced that iguodala+a stupidasfuck contract is better than getting rid of howard at the end of the season.

sorry, i don't see that. you get iguodala who wouldn't stretch the court at all, and i don't see this team getting past the second round regardless of the moves they make between now and the deadline.
to think that the mavs would be in contention because of iguodala might be denial. we still wouldn’t match up with a team like denver or l.a. i mean shit they can’t close out a team like MINNESOTA AT HOME. iggy isn’t going to change that

That’d be Dally, who is an upgrade over Damp. And we already have shooters. We’re lacking a guy who does several things well (passing, slashing, defense, et al). Iggy’s that guy in my opinion.
yeah but the whole thing now is that it would be brand over dalembert, and that would put him as the starting center maybe? that's not a good place to put an undersized, injury-prone guy. the shooters point could be argued both ways.
terry and dirk are just about the only two who could be counted on. iggy slashes, but he can’t shoot. and he’s at the sg position, a place where we need someone who can take pressure off of dirk, and sometimes terry. iggy has shot 43 percent this year, and that doesn’t sound like too much of an upgrade over howard’s constant need to jack em up. iggy does facilitate, but he also turns the ball over a lot, and i don’t think he would be looked at as a passer at all in this system as opposed to philly’s. if i had a choice, it’d be martin over iggy every day.

We would have to construct a deal that sends a quality big man to Sactown to make them do that deal. Something like convincing New Orleans to send them Okafor. Which is unlikely now that the Hornets have managed to get below the lux tax by giving away 4 guys.
