Lorenzen Wright found tragically murdered.

I know this is off topic. I understand this is a Mavericks blog, but I didn't think it would hurt to put this story up here.

For those who were unaware, the last few days ex-NBA player Lorenzen Wright has been missing, and on July 28th his body had been found.

Wright, 34, was found outside of Memphis deep in a wooded area shot several times. The police have said this is not being investigated as a suicide, but as a murder. It is suspected that several suspects were involved, not just one murderer.

Wright played for several NBA teams and had a 13 year NBA career after being drafted from the University of Memphis after his sophomore season. He averaged over 8 points and 6 rebounds a game in his NBA career.

This story doesn't reflect many of us personally, but for a lot of people this can offer an example that NBA players are people just like you and me.

For any of you that believe this is too off-topic to be on this website I offer my apologies, but I felt this story while unrelated was worth a few minutes to read.

Saw him alot since he played for Memphis and seemed like a solid back-up and team player. Always sad to see someone of that young an age go down, but my hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Lorenzen

What kind of sick man (or woman) would do such a thing to another living person? So f*cked up.
