Around SBN: Terry Collins, David Wright, And The Mets/Brewers Kerfuffle

The situation: Game on the line, who do you want taking the last shot?

"Ask pundits. Ask general managers. Ask players. Ask almost anybody.

Who would you like to have take the last shot with the game on the line?

Kobe Bryant wins by a country mile. Every time. (In a general-manager poll this season, he earned 79 percent of the vote, his ninth consecutive blowout.)

There is not really any other serious candidate.

Ask me, though (as Ryen Russillo did last week and Mike Trudell the other day), and I'll tell you I don't know who's the best, but with all due respect to Bryant's amazing abilities scoring the ball, there's zero chance he's the king of crunch time."

It's a shame some of those commenters

still completely miss the point and say stuff like “Kobe is a clutch player because he wants the ball at the end of the game” and “Rings are the only things that matter”.

But excellent article.

Exactly,

his guy may have been biased in this article, but his numbers are not wrong.

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?

Robert Horry!

Also if you said Melo, please go watch last years All-Star game then burn a picture of coach Karl then whip yourself til you become unconscious.

(If you're serious about the Melo comment)

Just cause you miss one shot doesn’t make you unclutch. Jordan missed plenty of game winners in his career.

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?
