Nick Calathes vs. Regal FC Barcelona, G4
Panathinaikos Athens beat Regal FC Barcelona, 78-67, at home this Thursday, March the 31st, on game four of the EuroLeague’s quarterfinals, closing it up and earning a berth in the Final Four, which will be held in Barcelona.
Dallas Mavericks’ Nick Calathes started and logged 34:07 of playing time. Calathes scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line, grabbed three boards, dished three assists, recorded three steals and drew four personal fouls.
Calathes played really well, both off the ball and then filling in for Dimitris Diamantidis early, when the front-runner for the league’s MVP was in foul trouble. He was aggressive against the covers of Ricky Rubio and then Juan Carlos Navarro. PAO dismantled Barça’s defense with pick-and-rolls that resulted in the team scoring 40 points in the paint. Calathes was a part of it.

Well, at least it’s good to see that he’s been getting 30 minutes a game.
