Personally, I haven't had this much fun since the 05-06 season. The Mavericks swanging and banging with ESPN's darling teams. I love it. It was nice as hell to see the Lakers go out in a four game sweep. Got to be one of the all time favorite highlights of Mavericks accomplishments. Watching my boys go against a fiery OKC team has a reasonable expectation for better things as well. With the series tied up at 1-1. I have no qualms that the Mavs will make the proper adjustments on defense.
The real reason I felt I had to write about perceptions of certain sports outlets. It's sickening to try and watch ESPN's take on the Mavericks. I actually keep up with the Mavericks, and I've watched how they've progressed up to the team they are now. When I hear all the gobbledygook coming from ESPN. I have to wonder about their content value. How can they be so far off? There are other sports outlets that parrot just about everything that comes from Bristol. On the other hand you find articles very professionally done. This is one I have no problems with here.
CBS Sports is pretty accurate and a tad more objective. Sports Illustrated is Ok I don't mind them as much. My favorite is Yahoo Sports they are across the board very professional with less opinionated imaginings than ESPN and their minions. Which is a shame because all the games are shown on ESPN with and all that subtle Mavericks detracted logic we're barraged with. To answer the question. For the most part . The Mavs are getting a fair shake from Sports Media as a whole. The problem is that it just so happens the sports outlet that's showing all of the WCF's games aren't one of them.
