Rudy to Real ... ?
Rudy to Real ... ?
According to Spanish media (Onda Madrid was the first one to report), Rudy Fernandez agreed to terms with Real Madrid for the next four seasons. The Spanish guard will return to NBA just for the season 2011-12 when lockout ends playing with Dallas Mavericks who acquired him via trade during in June. In the summer 2012, Rudy Fernandez will definitely return to Spain and Real Madrid.
its reported on Twitter as well. Deal is supposed to be finalized at the end of the week.

Another report on Hoopsworld says
That he will still be able to stay id he chooses but if he goes back it’ll be to Real Madrid. He is still committed to the Mavs and doesn’t want to have to go back if he decides to stay

He wanted to have an NBA out apparently.
Good to know that at least he’ll be returning when/if the lockout ends.

He'd have an NBA out at the end of next season regardless
And he would have been signed rather quickly upon returning to Spain, Real Madrid is just making sure they get him if that’s what he decides to do. The initial reports said that he would be signed to Real Madrid and any future in the NBA would be over after this hypothetical season so he’s just making sure he isn’t stuck either returning or staying next summer and has the choice.
