Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports
"To be honest, we've done uncharacteristically stupid things," Carlisle told ESPN. "We've got to work to correct it."
WHO: The Dallas Mavericks play against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
WHAT: A chance for Dallas to put an end to a three-game losing skid.
WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
WHEN: 7:30 pm CT
HOW: FSSW
THE STORY: With Miami, Memphis and San Antonio approaching, the Mavericks (11-13) are desperate to get out of the tailspin that has engulfed them starting with the double-overtime loss against Boston. They showed improved effort in their last game against Minnesota, but still dropped it 114-106 in overtime. Turnovers continue to be an excruciating problem, with the Mavericks committing around 22 a game in this losing streak. Meanwhile, Philadelphia (12-12) has lost a couple in a row but look to bounce back, especially with the expected return of star guard Jrue Holiday. He has averaged 18 points and 9 assists a game this season, but missed the last two with a sprained left foot.
Go Mavs!
