It seems appropriate that this be the matchup to take place the night before the world ends.

WHAT: A fitting end to life as we know it.
WHEN: The eve of the apocalypse (8:30pm CT)
WHERE: The ends of the earth (American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX)
HOW: The last channel you'll ever watch (TNT)
THE STORY: The day that we'd be worried about Derek Fisher being out with an injury is the day that the world is set to implode. He really is out, however, with a strained patellar tendon. Joining him on the "taking the night before Doom off" bench will be Elton Brand (groin) and Brandan Wright (ankle). So this is how it ends? Throwing our B-team at the reigning world champs with Darius Rucker singing the National Anthem? I didn't see that one coming. I wonder if Hot Hot Hoops did?
