Dirk Nowitzki, reportedly, engaged

Ric Renner (FSSW host) reported on the 17th that Dirk got engaged to Jessica Olsson on Valentines Day at a Japanese Restaurant, Tei An.

Original Tweet here

I'm not sure if this has been discussed in certain GDTs or has been posted anywhere I have not seen. I am also not certain how accurate this report is. Remember the whole Finals engagement ruckus which eventually turned out to be a hoax? Granted that was some internet site that started spreading the news, this time it's Ric Renner.

Two things I would like to share:

First, I am happy and completely devastated at the same time. Happy that Dirk, if accurate, is engaged. Devastated because he can't be mine anymore.....NoOOOOOooOOOOOOOOooOOOooOOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOo!!!!!!!!

kneejerk reaction?

Secondly, draft day 2032 can't come any sooner. The second coming of Dirk!

Anyways, ignore my reactions and my obvious man-crush for Dirk. Discuss. Honestly though, I am really pleased to hear that Dirk decided to get married. Those sperms aren't getting any younger, you know Dirky? I can't be happier for Dirk.

Happy for him.

Now, make a younger, more athletic version of yourself. Hah.

I wish guys had to wear some kind of engagement jewelry

and not just girls. when a girl gets engaged, she’s got this giant (or teeny) rock on her finger so every other guy knows she’s off the market. but dudes get to walk around pretending they’re still single until they actually get married. UNFAIR FOR US GIRLS ON THE PROWL.

Wiki

In the United Kingdom, Ireland and North America, engagement rings are traditionally worn only by women

I don't believe in marriage to begin with.

What’s the divorce rate? 60%? Better to just live together so if things end, you don’t have to go through the whole paperwork/division of assets messiness.

Living together is great for lazy people who want easy access to humpy-humpy and someone else to do the housework. Why ruin it with a “formal” agreement?

This is so silly.

Divorce desire rates have been consistent. Cultural shifts have allowed us to feel that divorce is more acceptable, when in the past divorce marked you as some sort of societal pariah.

A burden should never be something out of your control.

Sure

I’m sure it’d go over well in a forum with maybe 1 female poster and every thread having pictures of hot women and girls being referred to as “slampieces”. Very balanced in there…

really Kendall?

She’s even younger than me! And I’m only 17.

If you play my position and criticism can really affect you and hurt you and make you play differently, then you’re only gonna be around for so long anyway. That will happen around here, it will."

did you see david aldridge's interview with nash?

he asked him about being able to play with dirk in the all star as one of the bigger incentives for him and nash jokingly answered “that part’s overrated.” lol
