Will the Lamar Odom saga end in a good way for the Dallas Mavericks? Yesterday ESPNDallas.com reported that there's a growing disbelief that the forward will rejoin the Mavericks and is likely done for the season, but although the only official word for now is that Lamar won't play in Friday's matchup against the Hornets, things eased up a little bit over the day. Marc Cuban has reportedly met with Odom before heading to the Sloan Sports Conference that starts tomorrow and now it seems that Lamar is really close rejoining the 2011 NBA Champions.

Most likely scenario, sources say, has Odom practicing FRI w/Legends and then playing SAT home game vs. Austin while Mavs play host to Utah

Marc Stein is reliable, but Maverick fans might be better off not taking anything for granted regarding that topic. But there's serious hope that this issue can be filed away now.
