This has been confirmed by multiple NBA writers. While you might think this has little to do with the Mavs, Okafor has been a Mavs trade rumor for at least three years now. Plus, the Hornets just shed a ton of payroll (Lewis' deal expires after this year and they could always cut him) to resign Eric Gordon...who would have looked nice in a Dallas uniform.
